“It” didn’t begin in 1948. Jews lived in their homeland - the land of Israel, nonstop for over 3,000 years. It was not “peaceful” before 1948 or before modern Zionism. Jews in the land of Israel were attacked by the occupiers long before. In 1517, 1660, 1834, 1838, 1886, 1908, 1920-1921, 1929, 1936-1939. Violence against Jews cannot be justified as a reaction to Zionism. Zionism IS the solution for violence against Jews. When we were “guests” in the diaspora, we were attacked, when our land was occupied, we were attacked. The safest era for Jews in now - when we’re independent on our land - ask the Jews of Safed.

And they’ve been terrorizing them for over two years, since October 8, 2023. Hezbollah chose to join the war, both last month with Iran and after October 7 with Hamas. What is Israel supposed to do?

And many of the students who organized and participated in those protests had to deal with the trucks being paid to drive slowly by campus with their images and names on them calling them antisemites and being compared to the KKK by the likes of Josh Shapiro.

Absolute bombing in Beirut, purely civilian, innocent children and the elderly. It seems to be embracing their argument, we’re going to kill everyone and then some of those people will be terrorists. That’s really their argument. If we kill everyone, inevitably some of the people will be terrorists, because anyone thinking about becoming a terrorist, or anyone who knows a terrorist, or who might grow up to be a terrorist has to be eliminated. They’ve taken this strategy, and I’ve never even seen this in 41 years of my life. I’ve never seen the brutality of this type of warfare, where you go in and in minutes a lot of civilians are killed, women and children. The backlash that Israel will get from this, and the United States will get from funding it, is going to be insane. You’re creating terrorists all over the world that are seeing this bloodshed and are going to be radicalized to commit acts of terror. You can’t indiscriminately kill civilians and not expect people to be driven to violence.”
