If schedule holds, these 3 giant rockets will launch in the next 3 weeks.
From left to right:
New Glenn - satellite launch now, planned for the Moon
Starship - test flight 12 now, planned for the Moon
Artemis - to the Moon and back with 4 crew aboard
Pushing the very edge of our capability as we learn how to more safely & cheaply reach space, to explore all that exists beyond.

@elonmusk @DimaZeniuk Isn't it easier to test for flaws in manufacturing too? Stainless can be dye penetrant tested quickly while carbon cannot as far as I know.
English

@DimaZeniuk Steel also had the advantage over carbon fiber of not driving SpaceX into bankruptcy making Starship
English

@AstroPnoy It should be ZERO. Zero percent of taxpayer money should be spent on @NASA . @NASA is an intelligence agency and we already have too many of those. Private sector space exploration is doing it better for cheaper.

Where are all my neocons who have been “overwhelmed” by the non existent evidence against Tyler Robinson?
You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Hope the money was worth your soul.

@astro_jaz Well...it is a government intelligence agency spreading propaganda.
English

@digijordan Anyone else suspicious about @NASA being an intelligence agency now?? How is this not relevant to the discussion about their actions (and inactions)?

I see all these people saying they are ‘shocked’ and ‘disappointed’ that people don’t know or care that NASA is sending humans back to the moon.
A couple things here…
Supposedly we’ve already been ON the moon six different t times.
This new Artemis mission doesn’t even land us back on the moon. It goes around it.
NASA has spent $1.2 TRILLION DOLLARS (adjusted for inflation) since the last time we were on the moon.
And now 60+ years later they want us to be excited that they are doing something less exciting than they did decades ago.
Look…of course this is a big deal.
But NASA has lost the imagination and trust of the world through their repeated lies.
People should be excited about Artemis and it’s sad they aren’t.
And they aren’t because of decades of taxpayer abuse and lies by NASA.

@AstroDesires Which one of these is operated by an intelligence agency?

It's like when you remake a really old movie and shocked that nobody cares.
Everyday Astronaut@Erdayastronaut
I'm honestly SHOCKED at how the general public has NO IDEA Artemis II is taking humans out to the moon and will be the furthest humans have ever flown. Every non-space nerd I've talked to has no idea. WE GOTTA GET PEOPLE STOKED!!!! THESE FOUR HUMANS ARE FLYING TO THE MOON!!!
English

@Chesschick01 It's ALSO government propaganda since @NASA is an intelligence agency now. With the success of the private sector in space exploration and how far behind @NASA is on technology why does NASA need to exist?
English

We are going past the moon. The furthest humans have ever gone in history. It's astonishing.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog
It's ridiculous that NASA is launching a mission around the Moon this week that will send humans farther into space than ever before and it's getting almost no attention. A landmark moment in the history of our species. History books will care about this moment even if you don't.
English

@Erdayastronaut Awesome. Can we all discuss the organizational differences between @NASA in 1974 and @NASA today? Because it's isn't the same thing anymore.
English

NEW VIDEO!!! "A Complete Guide To #ArtemisII" goes over everything you need to know!!! We go over the crew, the rocket & spacecraft, we compare them to the Apollo era hardware, then explain the mission profile & a full mission timeline too! Enjoy! #Artemis2

@MattWalshBlog Because we should be landing ON the moon.
Why should we be hyped up about something less impressive than what we did decades ago?
If we actually did it, of course.

@MattWalshBlog I don't care about government propaganda from the intelligence agency called @NASA .
The private sector does space exploration cheaper and better.
English

@GuntherEagleman No. This is retarded.
@NASA is an intelligence agency not a space exploration agency.
This is really expensive propaganda.
English

@ScottC20012 Because @NASA is not a space exploration agency it is an intelligence agency.
This is just really expensive propaganda.
English

@BaronDestructo @ImBreckWorsham I literally don't know anyone who supports Trump like they did before the election. Republicans are toast in the midterms and they did it to themselves.
English

@ImBreckWorsham Been reading a lot of similar sentiment over the past week.
English

Here's the thing.
We handed Trump everything.
On a golden platter.
We gave him the House.
We gave him the Senate.
We gave him the greatest comeback victory in political history with a popular vote never before seen in a presidential campaign.
We fought for him.
We believed in him.
Many of us lost friends. Lost jobs. Lost FAMILY over our support of him.
Many of us have dedicated more than a decade of our lives to him in the hopes of seeing him succeed.
Some even spent YEARS in prison.
Some DIED for the cause.
Only to be lied to. Used. Betrayed.
So I don't particularly give a fuck what any of you MAGA cultists out there who are too stupid to realize how badly you've been played think of me.
I don't think of you at all.
