@mdm1634 the 1892 election had voting from 4th to 26th July so the voting in Henley may have coincided with the regatta but I cannot find the dates of the regatta. That would have been the last time if it did.

I’ve received this letter (dated 23rd March FTAOD) from PETA urging me to encourage all coaches, commentators and rowers to replace the phrase “catching a crab” which they believe normalises hurting animals with an animal-friendly alternative. They suggest “liberating a lobster”

Sad news. Our cox at the 1988 Olympics, Vaughan Thomas, has passed away at his home. Thoughts are with his family, friends and crewmates, who now mourn his untimely loss

@Tesla had troubles getting car to charge at supercharger. After 30’ mucking around it works…. I do. It want to drive it again if charging is. It working. I expect Tesla to collect my car and fix it!!!

It was wonderful this afternoon to recognise the significant contribution made by @gcwoods1 as coach, teacher, Housemaster, Second Master & Governor. To have two ‘Gordon Woods’ on the stretch is a fitting testament to his contribution to both RSSBC & ⁦@PengwernBoat⁩
