Today, Democrats (and even a few Republicans) voted to EXTEND Haiti’s TPS designation, first declared by President Obama in 2010. Does 16+ years sound temporary to you? The T in TPS stands for “Temporary.” It was never meant to become a multi-generational amnesty program.

🚨There are currently about 1.5 million foreign nationals in the U.S. under TPS designations like Haiti’s, which has been in place since 2010. Some of these “temporary” statuses have lasted even longer: Somalia’s TPS began in 1991 – when Paula Abdul and Bryan Adams topped the Billboard Top 40 Charts. Honduras’ TPS began in 1999 – when Microsoft surpassed General Electric as America’s most valuable company. El Salvador’s TPS began in 2001 – a full year before the first BlackBerry smartphone. TPS was never intended to be a “Hotel California” that allows illegal aliens to check in any time they like but never leave. It’s time to close this amnesty loophole.

It’s called TEMPORARY protected status (TPS) for a reason. The Senate will not expand TPS. The House’s bill is an insult to the millions of people patiently waiting in line & a tacit approval of Biden’s border invasion where TPS became de facto amnesty. Republicans will not continue to allow wage suppressing illegal migration to destroy working Americans with high prices, healthcare shortages, housing scarcity, and degradation of our social safety nets.

Haiti TPS Bill Passed House. Lets get into it. There are a reported 45,000 Haitians in Ohio with TPS (seems low). Dewine's Charity, Sherrod Brown's BS, a hurricane in 2010 blah, blah. Since 2010, the US has "given" Haiti $6 billion US tax dollars. HOWEVER, the majority of those funds were dispersed to USAID - NGOs and international contractors, not the Haitian government. So what we have here is straight money laundering on behalf of our government. See, if they keep them here they don't have to account for the money and it shuts the Haitians up. Now they have to answer for it. You can bet that Mike Turner (R-OH) Springfield, is shitting his pants right now. He was a yes vote, along with Mike Carey (R-OH). Not our problem. We paid for it. Get them out. If the Senate passes this, then you know.

My Congressman, Mike Turner, just voted to extend Haitian TPS. Turner represents Springfield, Ohio. For reference, each Haitian TPS refugee costs roughly $1400 a month. More if they have multiple children. With Republicans like these, why do we need Democrats?

So, you voted for the Haitians to stay. Un f—king believable. I voted for you. I counted on you to deliver on the America First agenda. I’m a single working by mom. I do commercial sales in petrochemicals - 2 decades in the industry. And while I have been busting my ass working 12-14 hour days… ***happily because the reasons for my extra work right now are supply issues and price increases due to Iran, and I will gladly work my ass off in support of this war*** …YOU are voting to keep people here who are a drain on our system, who undercut American wages, and who cause us to be less safe. 6 days ago, JUST SIX DAYS AGO, a naturalized Somali driving a commercial truck KILLED veterinarian, Dr. Lynnea Soposki, her husband Luke, and their 1-year-old INFANT Logan on 71 just North of 270. And guess what, I just drove that stretch to get up here, north of Olentangy HS to my son’s soccer practice, where I am writing you at this moment. Immigration has been so out of control - and most don’t assimilate, speak our language, and are supported by welfare - so, we can’t afford to have a single loophole. None! I don’t know what you morons in Congress are not understanding about this.
