🚨 Dane County, WI: On Monday, Julio Morales Jarquin was arrested and is accused of raping a resident at the assisted living facility he worked at. Morales Jarquin has an immigration detainer hold and is charged with Sexual Battery with an elderly victim modifier. He has had multiple contacts with WI law enforcement over the past year or so, including at least three citations for Operating Without a Valid License.

Because of pollution drifting up from Chicago, seven counties in SE Wisconsin are forced into vehicle emissions tests every two years. The Fair Air Standards Act ends this unfair mandate. It’s time to stop punishing Wisconsin drivers and businesses for other states’ pollution.

"Fewer than 50% of students in the Madison Metropolitan School District are proficient in reading," @RepTiffany told Off The Press in a statement. "Yet the district is shutting down for a day with just a week’s notice because the teachers union is taking a day off in solidarity with immigrants instead of focusing on teaching kids to read."

I just visited Mr. Salah Sarsour, the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, in Indiana where he is being held by ICE. I was able to ask him questions about his health and treatment, and discuss concerns from his doctor with ICE personnel. I let him know that the entire Milwaukee community stands with him, and I will continue to advocate for his immediate release as I am very concerned for his wellbeing.
