11 years ago I was excited for my first day on a real ward as a student nurse 🥹 Wonder what baby nurse Leanne would think of how the following 11 years have gone.

@ShaunLintern This is so sad, and our daily job. Trying to visit all who need it but have to prioritise and defer daily. Allocation of work and knowing those left more than likely won't be seen. Under funding District Nurses specialist role and burn out increasing vacancies. Heartbreaking 😢

The shortage of district nurses to provide vital care in the community can lead to avoidable deaths. An important coroner's report here - the numbers of DNs has more than halved since 2010:
