@CatImperator I have faith in the Croatians. They seem like competent people. I have also seen a few Latin movies and tv shows that turned out alright. Like the German show Barbarians or the movie Romulus. I am cautiously optimistic that they will at least make something fun.

@hiraethdao That's not the issue The issue is I know Croatian modern cinematography And I would hardly expect a movie in Latin that looks decent But yeah the Palace, which is quite well preserved, is must see if in Croatia and in Split

This is how medieval/16th cent armies should be depicted in movies. Croatian movie Anno Domini 1573. ✅ vibrant colors, flamboyant nobles ✅ each noble carries a historically accurate coats of arms to battle ✅ many banners and pennons

@TheTuckerTalk yes, but you rarely see it in Holywood Roman-themed movies It is segmentata or ugh leather armor And in those three screenshots you can see several types of armor and equipment that were in use when Diocletian took power
