Colette Boler, 62, has been tending to a colony of strays on an industrial estate in Thurnscoe near Barnsley for the last two decades. But following complaints from a local business about the health risk she has now been sent a formal letter by Barnsley Council, warning her to stop. If she ignores the ban she could face a community protection notice, which in turn could result in a fine of up to £2,500.
