Today I lost my broadcaster partner and shadow after 15 years. Macy has been a loyal hound dog and was the only one excited for me to ride the lawnmower. She was a great girl and will be missed.

What is your favorite electrolyte drink you use doing sport?

@humanworkplace The company I work for now is like that. I’ve had to take unexpected short notice time off for personal reasons and instead of questioning it they said yes and made sure my duties were covered while I was away.

The sad part is that it is less expensive, easier and more fun to take great care of your employees and make your company an incredible place to work. When people like their jobs, it’s easier to recruit. There’s more teamwork. Customers are happier. It’s obvious.

Can we lay to rest the idea that asking candidates about their employment gaps will alert you to whether someone was terminated from a past job (and is therefore ineligible for employment with you)?

@humanworkplace Especially during a pandemic when tons of people were laid off and those that weren’t are taking a break from being exhausted. I was personally laid off twice during the pandemic, both times I was exhausted from long hours and needed a break

@humanworkplace When I fell asleep at the wheel late at night after working a 72 hour shift with only taking naps. Then management made me come into the office at 0800 since everyone else was “too busy” to cover anything for me.

How did your body finally tell you it was time to quit your job?
