@notpumkin @dtupper @VSMaori I agree its completely unrealistic to base the ratings on 80 people shown. I expect most people have their hider set to only show the closest 10 to 20 people. Given the other limits for poor rating there's no way you're showing 80 poor avatars anyways.

@CatchTheSkies @dtupper @VSMaori Clubheads live in their own version of reality where 80 player instances are apparently normal. Even with all avatars hidden and everyone muted it sounds like fps would be low. Add vr to the mix and you’ll be stuck at like what, 20 fps with mid-high tier hardware?

@HostileLogOut Yes and every other avatar stat being measured by the performance rating does as well. The point is that the poly count limit is low compared to the other limits and everyone being in the worst category because of a single threshold makes the system worthless.

@CatchTheSkies More Poly will only worsen the overall framerate. as its already heavily strained by people's lack of interest in optimizing their avatars. you can see the difference in load times and overall problems a higher poly avatar causes over a lower one.

@_ViolaLayne_ The performance system does have a material count limit but nobody cares since everyone is over the poly limit anyways.

@CatchTheSkies I just want them to enforce a material slot limit. So many avatars that I have seen have 50+ and 90% of the time users are only actively using/rendering 10 or so.

@dtupper @VSMaori I don't know why you used 80 players as a reference. Given the other performance limits like 150MB textures a 12 GB GPU is only going to show 40 people at best. With 40 people you can afford each person having 150k polygons.

@SaoGalaxyVr I don't know what to say but maybe you need to get your eyes checked. Even now I can see the triangle edges on people's avatars.

@SaoGalaxyVr Most game characters are meant to be viewed on a desktop screen with a camera 3 meters away. One inch of skin is represented by a single pixel. Contrast this to VR where I can look at the texture of someone's irises.

@FLlacapan You can already see all of that in game, I completed the index and bought all gear. What would be actually useful is predicting the next day's bounty fish, which is deterministically chosen using the current date as a seed.
