Charlotte (formerly UNC Charlotte) announced a $250,000 gift from the David & Nicole Tepper Foundation for the university’s Let Me Play initiative, strengthening opportunities for women's sports. The gift was announced today following Nicole Tepper’s keynote address.

Doesn't mean my daughters' live in KY. Family is located in Raleigh while I'm working hard to provide. Best numbers out there suggest 30-40% of accepted to both schools choose NC State. That number has been increasing as of late because of technology and value of STEM degrees over business and law.

@WadeAtState @unc9876 @LeeFouler Yeah, 100% of dual acceptance over the last 2 years at my daughters' highschool chose NC State over UNC-CH. Different reasons, but mostly focused on profitable STEM options.

RE: Denver International Airport being shut down. I just wanted to point out how rare it is for a major airport (think: critical infrastructure) to be shut down entirely in an emergency/unplanned electrical outage, because they're intentionally engineered with significant redundancy/back-up systems to protect against exactly that happening. It's not like blowing a fuse at your house.

I love the ignorance of the "ball room" on the East Wing. You don't even understand why it needs to be built. The security picture as changed so much that we can no long rely on tents for state dinners and other functions. This doesn't even account for the broken colonnade getting huge security upgrades. This is something everyone should support, but TDS is so destructive you can't even support a net good.

When Trump leaves office: The Department of War will go back to being the Defense Department. The Trump Kennedy Center will go back to being the Kennedy Center. The Gulf of America will once again be the Gulf of Mexico. The unfinished East Wing (it won't be finished by the end of Trump's term) will be rebuilt by the next president, and it will not be a ballroom. Federal agencies packed with unqualified loyalists will fire those people and rehire the career experts Trump fired. The Department of Justice will go back to enforcing the law instead of protecting the president. Scientific agencies like NOAA, the EPA, and the CDC will go back to publishing research without political interference. The U.S. will re-align with its allies and not with its enemies. The presidential pardon power will stop being used as a rewards program for loyalists. Inspectors General will go back to investigating corruption instead of getting fired for it. The White House press room will go back to having briefings, with real journalists and not podcasters. U.S. foreign policy will stop revolving around flattering dictators. And the world will progress as though Donald Trump never existed.
