GOP state Senator Jay Block was called out by his own daughter for supporting Israel’s genocidal regime: “Israel is paying my dad to spread propaganda…He sold his soul to the devil. I hope this ends his political career.” She has more courage than every politician in Congress.

"Data centers use way less water and electricity than agriculture." This comparison is absurd. We literally cannot survive without food, while we can absolutely survive without AI.

This cost them about $1 trillion. The truth is, you cannot build systems like this exclusively on the logic of profit. You cannot expect to break even in 20 or 30 years. Projects of this scale are built because the government decides they must exist to serve the people. And this is a problem with systems that are strictly, or overwhelmingly, capitalist. If you leave every problem in your society to the spontaneity of the market, some challenges are so large and so unprofitable that you will never have sufficient incentive to solve them.

@wahlstedt007 As a leftist in 🇺🇸 sadly it’s not just trump, the worst is expected from him. The real frustration is w/ congress & w/ foreign leaders that don’t stand up to him. I wish Germany for one was stronger like Spain against 🇮🇱 too. They’re why we’re in this mess.

I do not understand what billionaires think the final outcome of all this is. If nobody has a living wage, they cannot buy your products, pay for your services, or rent the properties being owned and hoarded. At that point, does the whole thing not just collapse?

A new CBS poll reveals over 70% of Americans are struggling to afford basic needs like food, housing, and healthcare and the only thing our government wants to do is wage war, fund genocide, and subsidize the very corporations who are exploiting us. Time to overhaul the system.

There's an unfortunate game theory to a large civilization in that it requires hard work, ethical behavior, and deferral of gratification to build. But then eventually people start to forget that and think "why would I work hard when theres all this stuff here already? I should just be hedonistic". Slowly, the civilization starts to decay causing it to take care of people less, which causes more people to defect ("why should I take care of a system that doesn't care for me? Especially when there's so much fun to be had by neglecting it"), until eventually it collapses because everyone has defected.

Why is Javier Milei crying like a little b*tch at the Western Wall? Milei has turned out to be the biggest disappointment. He had so much potential, instead he decided to be a slave of Zionism. Do you believe Milei is compromised by Israel?
