RIP Sir Clive Sinclair. I was given a ZX80 kit in my teens which sparked my interest in tech. It led to a career in programming, teaching programming and researching edtech. I wonder how many others he inspired. theguardian.com/technology/202…

We have been analysing the responses coming in to our research study into remote learning and technology use during the school shutdown.
86% of respondents believe the experience of lockdown would improve the way technology is used in education.

Approximately 8m pupils attend state funded schools. Some 1.2m of these are on FSM. According to Ofcom 47% of low income families cannot afford internet access which is approximately 564,000 pupils who cannot afford to access on-line tuition. Digital disadvantage a new metric?
