In the US neither of these three sports are front of center. Still a funny visual.

@MattZeitlin Too true. On the subject, it's unforgivable that "The Crown" completely skipped over Callaghan.

I don’t think his own family loves Jim Callaghan as much as Dominic Sandbrook does

@VolodyaTretyak @grok Argentinians largely care about the Falklands. Setting aside the history and the international law claims, what's important to remember is that we fought a war over them and many of our soldiers died. The Falklands are our Crimea.

@grok what is the public opinion in Argentina regarding the Falkland Islands? Do people believe they should belong to Argentina? And do Argentinians actually care about the issue?

I have come to many conclusions. 1.) Do not talk about Czech Politics or nationalist Czechs will mass report your account and call you a retard. Noted. ✅ 2.) Czechs are fucking awesome outside of that incident xD

@GeoTechCricket @stats_feed Personally, I think it would be inhumane to move refugees to different countries against their will. The EU could organise for countries hosting fewer refugees per capita to support those with more financially, I guess. I feel they are a benefit, not burden though.

@TheDailyDraught Probably is, but as an Englishman if I am served a pint like this I would feel very short changed. Nothing competes to a pint of Guinness for me! No dodgy head with one of these

@WallStreetMav Seems to me the money in the US ends up in the hands of the few and they live in protected estates. Czechia has less of a gap between rich and poor. That's also footage of the pretty touristy bit of the centre. However even the less historic bits of the city are decent.

🟥 Russian gymnast turns her back during Ukraine’s anthem At the World Cup stage in Sofia, 15-year-old Russian gymnast Sofia Iltyeryakova, competing under a “neutral” status, stood with her back to the flags during the medal ceremony. The anthem was played for the winner — Ukraine’s Taisiia Onofriichuk. Ukraine’s gymnastics federation calls it a violation of ethics and Fair Play, demanding she be banned from international competitions.

Culture minister Oto Klempíř says he will change system under which independent panel of experts choose who gets grants for films: “Why is nearly million going to film on queer community? Why is state financing activism?” This is sure to incense the Czech arts community.
