Trump’s executive orders against WeChat and TikTok are yet another abuse of emergency powers under the broad guise of national security. They would violate the First Amendment rights of users in the US who use these apps to communicate with family, friends, or business contacts.

It is not well appreciated, but the truth is that one never really finishes to analyze a dataset. You just decide to stop and move on at some point, leaving some things undiscovered.

TARGET-seq is out in @MolecularCell ! Like moving from a blury photograph to a high resolution picture of #cancer we can now perform parallel mutation and whole transcriptome analysis from the same #SingleCell cell with extremely high resolution. cell.com/molecular-cell…

Using a stringent filtering tool called LOFTEE github.com/konradjk/loftee, we identify ~443K predicted loss-of-function variants, and 1,752 genes where we find at least one biallelic knockout individual (2/5).
