If any of my Ag peeps on here are in the market for a condo in Saskatoon for your kids to attend post secondary school, we have ours available for sale. It’s a 3 bedroom and is just minutes from the U of S. Reach out to me and I can get you more details if you are interested.

@kowalchukfarms1 Yes-two on the Main Street of our tiny town. Shut down buildings, bought by immigrants, makeshift sign put up, then no apparent activity. Gateway to the country is what I’d say is happening.

Anyone else have buildings and businesses in their small towns being purchased and then basically shut in after and never opened? It’s taking potential businesses away from our communities Gotta be some shady stuff going on here?

The trading week is closed. Now let’s see what happens globally while the markets are closed for the weekend. Nothing should be a surprise.

Is it a stupid idea to lock in more N for 2027 crop today. Was quoted 1100 Canadian today. My gut is telling me to do.

@CattleNut Three terminals were in the news already shutting in. The Qatar LNG was very interesting because they didn't just idle, they moved to a cold shut down. Supposedly it would take two weeks just to fire up again.

Just remember that there has been no change in North American Nitrogen demand. There have been supply shifts and global energy value issues but make sure to block out some of the noise.

I think it would be important if public money got involved that current producers don’t feel threatened, and put in a perceived unfair situation. Striking the balance of supporting the industry as a whole and not having a public vs private battle. As you say increasing domestic supply is the most important thing. But I really can’t see a 5 Billion dollar project happening without major support and industry buy in. The Genesis project and I admire although I admire initiative faces an insurmountable challenge in my opinion. It’s a big idea but it doesn’t have the horse power to get done. It’s a generational type of investment and project that requires major backing in a nation building type lens to de-risk. Structure and ownership nuances can be sorted out just needs the will to happen, that will may have to be government driven. We all know there is a business case and the competition will be supported by the additional supply. Make sure take agreements are spread out amongst several users would also support competition.

Iran has an estimated annual urea production capacity of close to 9 million tonnes, with exports reaching approximately 4.5 to 5 million tonnes annually.

@CattleNut @valleyfield2008 @JLinvilleFert In a rare departure from my capitalist mindset.. because a large urea plant is so expensive. I would support public funding and ownership. It might be the only way something like this gets built with the swiftness that it needs to happen.

Madam Secretary, fertilizer prices are still high for farmers. When compared to corn prices: Urea - 2nd highest value ever UAN - 2nd highest value ever NH3 - 2nd highest value ever DAP - 2nd highest value ever There are simple short and long term fixes. Just takes action. Nitrogen Short-term - remove DEF requirements (puts nitrogen back to the farmer) Long-term - back domestic production Phosphate Short-term - repeal counter vailing duties Long-term - invest in countries with phosphate rock reserves and get long term supply agreements Potash Short-term - quit fighting Canada Long-term - quit fighting Canada

There was the same amount of English spoke in the Super Bowl halftime show as a Joe Biden speech. Now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are. #justsaying
