@bsproat @olblue81 @CattleNut We have tight delivery standards for our grain and yet with fertilizer we have a huge variation in quality and this causes big headaches and safety issues too. Surely there are quality parameters that need to be met!? I agree this is no garage setup.

Please say a quick prayer for all the fertilizer manufacturers. Their margins are so tight these days they can't afford to oil their phosphate.

@bsproat @olblue81 Differences in Rock Phosphate quality that goes into the process can make a difference along with how many touch points there are along the way after it’s made

@olblue81 @CattleNut I may not understand the whole manufacturing process but why is there so much variability in fert quality? It’s not like they’re making it in somebody’s garage. The process has been around a long time.

@johnsonacres @farmerjim79 Meaning that 30 lbs can often be more available earlier if that need presents itself. Every situation is different. Soil temp, moisture level and seeding date just to name a few all play into the equation.

Not an agronomist. But thinking of 10-34-0 going forward. I know it’s bulky and corrosive, but is it more readily available than 11-52-0.
