Listen, guys, I'm 34, born a Hindu in Gorkha (Gurung family) in Northeast India, Manipur. I lived in a place with different kinds of people, religions, cultures, food, and lifestyles. I don't know about others, but me as a Gorkhali, I've never faced racism in my birthplace. People respect me,I respect them.
I grew up celebrating every festival around my place. I have close friends and family from different religions and castes, we live happily here.
This tweet's to clarify: Northeast has diverse cultures, respect them. If you want to learn about Northeast, visit, stay with locals, and experience it yourself. I'm sure you'll learn something you've never learned before – no books will teach you about life in Northeast.
