OUTNUMBERED: @CCRB_NYC is supposed to investigate complaints against cops "fairly and independently." But only a few board members show their independence on a consistent basis. If CCRB gets the final word on discipline, there will be ZERO fairness for police officers, driving more talented cops away from the city.

Detective Jonathan Diller was a father, husband, and one of NY’s Finest. A hero of NYC, he was just 31 years old when he was murdered in the line of duty one year ago in Queens. The DEA will #NeverForget Jonathan — and forever stand in support of his family.

Our prayers @NewarkNJPolice for our two brave Newark Police Officers and their families. The two officers shot may one rest in peace and the other have a full recovery.

Grateful that our @nycpddea brother is recovering, but he should never have had to confront this violent parolee in the first place. The Parole Board and the entire failing justice system is putting police officers and every single New Yorker at risk. The time for change is now.

Today marks six years since we lost our brother — Detective Brian Simonsen. Brian was a great investigator, union delegate, and friend to so many. The DEA celebrates Brian’s life and renews the solemn vow to #NeverForget our hero and forever be here for his loved ones.

Remember our Street Crime Unit brother, P.O. Robert Bilodeau, who made the ultimate sacrifice 45 years ago today when he was shot and killed while pursuing an armed suspect.
