It’s Sunday and 2pm on the east coast and Destiny 2 (a mostly console played game) has a 16k player count lead over Bungie and Sony’s Marathon on Steam. Absolutely brutal numbers for their golden child.

"Well that's the Marathon community I mean i didn't say there was many of you i said everyone on the marathon side was RTing this and commenting, that's about your footprint I mean that's about it, so I'm just saying your not exactly creating allies here by acting this way."

@MarathonTheGame I had fun with the game when it first released. I genuinely could not care less about it anymore because of the Destiny news.

Sorry for being MIA the past couple days. My gaming pc had been having problems and was not able to get a display. Fortunately I was able to fix the problem and will be back tomorrow.

You can breathe a bit easier Runners. Sony’s CFO Lin Tao confirmed Marathon will continue to be supported! Here is what they said in full - “In our studio business, earnings from Bungie's title portfolio did not reach our expectations, so we downwardly revised our business plan and impaired the full amount of the fixed assets related to Bungie except for goodwill. Player reception to Marathon is strong, with the game receiving a Metacritic score of 82 and more than 90% of the player reviews on Steam being positive. Engagement metrics such as retention also remain at a high level. Going forward, we aim to improve the performance of the game by working to retain highly engaged core users through the introduction of additional content, further improvements in the gameplay experience and expansion of the user base.”

@MallowTheQueen Honestly doesnt bother me i wont be doing the pve mode so doesnt affect me for its good for the people that cry about pvp all the time let them enjoy the game in a different way i womt be interacting with them anyways

I hate how toxic the announcement of a PvE mode has become. Like, for fuck sake we have ZERO official info on it and the community is already at each other's throats. Begging y'all to keep an open mind and wait for more info before slaughtering each other omfg

FINALLY maxed TRAXUS, their upgrades are nowhere near good enough for their material cost. The 6th capstone is super nice but the attachements their wares are so limited it feels like such a waste. Only silver lining is being able to barter for gold misriahs

Marathon cheating is bad right now. I love the game but how could you expect anyone to enjoy that experience. No gear refund is criminal as well. Duplicate the gear, who cares! It’s just pixels. I don’t know how a system like this wasn’t ready for launch. A costly oversight tbh.

Vandal need's a REAL buff, feels like we got nerfed with the enzyme replicator build... Seriously why is Destroyer a better movement class? Vandal should be able to shoot and slide. every other class can and it's a huge advantage in a game that rides around 1 second ttk's with Peaker's advantage being everything. #marathon #marathonthegame @MarathonDevTeam
