Central Park

The walled garden, cafe and toilets are closed until further notice due to no water. You may have seen the hole in the car park. This is a leak and has been leaking for a long time. Finally it’s getting fixed. However we don’t know when they will fix it.

We have recently been informed that club legend Dave “Tommo” Thompson has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease…. Dave has given so much to this club over the years, and our thoughts are with him and his family during this incredibly difficult time….

It’s a cool day but it’s nice to see the flags of St George flying in the park. Someone has put them up and they look good.

The friends of Central Park have bought and planted some plants in the entrance of the walled garden to brighten the entrance.

It was nice to see @WirralCouncil mayor officially open the wheelchair swing in Central Park this morning. Wirral Council, the friends of Central Park and others worked hard to achieve this. #wiirral #parks #accessible #loveparks #greenflagaward #northwestparks

Our volunteers have been cleaning up between the lake and ponds today. Also Angela passed her food allergies awareness course today.

We have Christmas stocking fillers all wrapped up. 5 tubes of sweets, 2 selection boxes, 2 small bars and a candy cane all for only £10 each.

Please take care in the park today it’s very windy. We have had a few trees come down and our park staff are working to assess and clear them. Out task day is cancelled for today to allow park staff to work on removing fallen trees.
