A $1 USTC repeg + MM2 sounds ideal, but it’s unrealistic because a real stablecoin needs more than chain mechanics: compliant issuance, reserves/redemption, liquidity, market trust, and legal clarity. MM2 can eliminate death spirals, but it doesn’t magically make USTC a regulated $1 stablecoin. That doesn’t make USTC worthless. It just means its value has to come from real demand: staking, DeFi integrations, fees, utility, and ecosystem usage, not a forced repeg narrative. MM2 also still matters. Anything that burns USTC supply is positive. Pair that with actual utility, and USTC can still have a bright future without pretending it must be $1. The community should move beyond false narratives and support builders like Ceramic 🙂
