games in web3 want to grow but keep skipping the basics 😓 Retention kills most of them before they even have a chance. repetitive gameplay, no good / refreshing updates, not listening to your community. that’s the formula for a dead game. you don’t need a massive budget either. you need the right intention. if you’re building just to extract, your mechanics will show it. players feel that immediately OG players carry your game further than any marketing spend ever will. keep them interested. keep updating. Fortnite, Rust, MMORPGs a decade old still dropping new content. Thats NOT a coincidence! Also if you’re working with creators, give them something real to offer. For example a creator code where the player ACTUALLY gets something. not referral links nobody uses because there’s NOTHING in it for them. the games doing this right? they’re the ones still making good revenue.

we all have fun throwing money at fresh launches and new narratives, but if you’re crypto adjacent, there are a handful of wonderful companies to get involved with at the ground level find the brands you resonate with the most and ask if there are ways you can invest early it may take a lot longer to 10x but the path to success a lot more fun imo

@0xKaps you can say that again megaETH focusing on apps early was a smart move actually and also giving teams space to actually experiment changes everything @YieldOMega falls under that category

one of the things MegaETH did well very early was focus heavily on apps because realistically a lot of apps shut down, pivot or leave midway so giving builders enough time, support and surface area to experiment early was the right move and now there are already some genuinely unique apps building there with more coming personally excited to see what builders do with AI agents on mega too. mega should be a place where people experiment and build fun things that simply wouldn’t work elsewhere

People are watching price while the ecosystem is quietly building behavior loops, products, and retention. That’s usually how strong ecosystems look before sentiment flips.
