Yesterday saw two attacks targeting synagogues in the Toronto area — this time with gunfire. Such explicit acts of antisemitism and hatred have no place in our country. Our government will continue to work with law enforcement to protect communities and places of worship. Those responsible must be identified and held fully accountable.

Gunshots fired last night at two Toronto synagogues. A third was attacked Monday. Canada now leads the world in gunfire attacks on Jewish institutions. When leaders tolerate mobs targeting Jewish neighborhoods, and apply a double standard to Israel, extremists hear the signal.
