@mutachali @HerbalistChief What does the refusal to sign an MoU imply? You say, 'Well, gents, we appreciate your thoughtfulness but we won't sign the MoU because we want to safeguard the our data privacy and we can't grant you preferential treatment in our mining sector'. Tekukana uku, Yamah?

These African countries rejected millions of dollars and refused to hand over their health data to the US. For once, an African country stood its ground 👏🏽

Zambia’s $2 billion US health-aid talks stalled over data-sharing demands that risked privacy violations and conditions tied to preferential access to minerals, the foreign minister said bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Now I understand why Govts ignore certain chaps. It's the Hypocrisy. How can the same mouth say: "Zambia is giving Mining houses tax holidays" today, and tomorrow argue with Haimbe about Zambia's refusal to give away critical minerals to US companies? Just how? Hypocrites!

Listen! I have a lot of respect and admiration for Davido for the thought he put into his outfits for his show in Zambia. I clearly see why he will outlast most African superstars, this attention to culturally detail is so beautiful. fundmyorganisation.com

Arrived in Freetown for my second stint as an Adviser to the Government of Sierra Leone in 2014. As I sat for my first meal lo and behold, Kapa Ba Chriticles Mwansa was seated in the same hotel restaurant. We ended up staying in the same house the whole time I was in Freetown until his sad passing while playing his favourite game, Golf! We worked and lived through Ebola crisis spending countless hours discussing life and politics. May His Soul Continue to Rest in Eternal Peace. What a great mentor and man he was. Patriotic always and a firm believer in tradition and culture. We need more Zambians like him!

When you have success, be extra wary. When you are angry, take no action. When you are fearful, know you are going to exaggerate the dangers you face.

@MtongaAndrew5 "Both Ucar and Mazoka matter, but swapping a national icon for a partisan figure will always divide." I stated this. And, it's actually in sync with your stance on the issue.

@luchi7 This isn’t about taxpayers building houses for former CJs, it’s about institutional stability. When top public officials are guaranteed dignity after service, it reduces DESPERATION, CORRUPTION INCENTIVES, and POLITICAL INTERFERENCE. Strong exit conditions = stronger governance.

My mom used to throw away the “bad” beans before cooking. But when rain came, those same beans grew beautifully and became a harvest. Don’t cry when people reject or look down on you. Your season is coming, and those who ignored you today may value you tomorrow.

Zambia is simply modernising outdated laws and formalising retirement benefits for top office holders, something many stable democracies already do. It’s about continuity, dignity, and protecting the office, not just the individual.

This isn’t about perks, it’s about institutional stability. When top public officials are guaranteed dignity after service, it reduces desperation, corruption incentives, and political interference. Strong exit conditions = stronger governance. 1/2

The Judiciary is so underfunded. Some districts have only one Magistrate & a ramshackle of a court house. The accused are punished before conviction coz of how long cases take. What does gov do - table a law to build houses for retired Chief Justices. OK politicians delela us😮
