Construction came to a halt in 1977. Even with design errors and an area now fully developed in 2026, you want the project completed....

@HelenZille4Jozi Please finish building the Foreshore Freeway Bridge in the Cape Town CBD. Then we can trust you to fix JHB. Don't think we are stupid.

Something powerful is happening across NMB 🤩Voters are uniting behind the DA
A former EFF supporter said it clearly: the DA is the future. The Resident was "recruited" by Ramaphosa's admission that DA-run municipalities are SA’s best. 2026 is the year to #getNMBworkingagain

A fugitive wildlife trafficker, Shamsideen Abubakar, has been arrested in Nigeria after evading authorities for five years. He had been declared wanted by the Federal High Court in Lagos for his role in a major wildlife trafficking network.
Abubakar was linked to a 2021 operation in Ikeja, Lagos, where authorities arrested his associates and seized more than 1,000 kg of pangolin scales, a significant blow to illegal wildlife trade. His eventual arrest followed a long-term, intelligence-driven investigation carried out through a joint effort by the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and the Wildlife Justice Commission (WJC).
Authorities say the arrest demonstrates Nigeria’s commitment to tackling environmental crime through sustained partnerships, intelligence sharing, and coordinated enforcement. It also signals a zero-tolerance stance against wildlife trafficking, with officials emphasizing that fugitives will be pursued and prosecuted, and that criminal networks—both local and international—will continue to be disrupted.
NESREA leadership reaffirmed that Nigeria will not serve as a safe haven for wildlife crime and urged the public to report suspicious activities, warning traffickers that the era of impunity is ending.
