As we were bringing Colonel Andriy Melnyk and his wife Sofia back to Ukraine – through Zakarpattia and then across half the country to our free capital, Kyiv – this path was not marked by the discord that had so often knocked us, and Ukraine, off our feet in the past. There were no doubts about who Ukraine’s true enemy is, and who its friends, partners, and brothers are. And what was there was gratitude – our unconditional gratitude to all those who have dedicated their lives to serving Ukraine, and thanks to whom Ukraine withstands Russian strikes and continues to endure – gratitude to our warriors, gratitude to all our people.
Colonel Andriy Melnyk returned to a different Ukraine – not the one he had been forced to leave, but the one he had dreamed of. He dreamed of it – as did thousands of other such significant Ukrainian figures. I thank all those who are truly doing their best to ensure that our Ukrainian national memory remains a living memory. I am grateful to everyone who has worked to make such returns of great Ukrainian figures possible and to give the Ukrainian People their own pantheon of heroes.

Коллаж с подписью «Дети — жертвы теракта ВСУ в Старобельске» (22.05.2026) — не доказательство трагедии, а грубая манипуляция. На самом деле это сборка старых, никак не связанных между собой фотографий, взятых из открытых источников интернета. Ни один из изображённых людей не имеет отношения к событиям в Старобельске. Что именно на фото: •Верхний ряд, слева: Обычное селфи девушки из старых аккаунтов в соцсетях (часто встречается на Pinterest и подобных платформах). •Верхний ряд, центр: Фото украинской блогерши Екатерины Юрьевны (Катерины Юрьевны). Чёрно-белое селфи давно гуляет по сети. •Верхний ряд, справа: Девушка у скульптуры — фото из модельных/кастинговых портфолио. •Нижний ряд, слева: Борис Киприянович («мальчик с Марса») — очень известное фото российского мальчика, который в начале 2000-х заявлял о «воспоминаниях о жизни на Марсе». Это архивный снимок, которому более 15–20 лет. •Нижний ряд, центр: Девушка в скаутской форме — участница украинской организации «Пласт», фото сделано на одном из официальных лагерей. •Нижний ряд, справа: Модельное фото девушки в светлом пиджаке с украинских онлайн-платформ. Пропагандисты просто собрали случайные снимки из сети, добавили вымышленную подпись с датой и выдали за «жертв обстрела». Цель — вызвать максимум эмоций, шок и ненависть, обойти критическое мышление. Важно: Сам удар по колледжу/общежитию в Старобельске 22 мая 2026 года действительно произошёл. Погибли молодые люди (студенты колледжа), есть жертвы среди гражданских. ВСУ заявляет что в общежитии колледжа была школа дроноводов и склад боеприпасов в подвале. Однако это не отменяет того, что конкретно этот коллаж — подделка. Когда реальных фото или имён не хватает (или их не хотят показывать сразу), пропаганда часто прибегает к краже чужих изображений Проверяйте информацию. Используйте обратный поиск по изображениям (Google Images, Yandex, TinEye). Сегодня они крадут чужие детские фото для фейка — завтра могут использовать ваши. Не становитесь ретранслятором лжи.
