@CharcoalTweed @LFC Bookmarked this already,I'm gonna find you when the season is over
English

I have some serious concerns about the direction we're heading.
According to reports, @LFC have chosen Andoni Iraola simply because he is the only available manager at this moment. If that truly is the primary reason for appointing a manager to a club of Liverpool’s stature, then we are making a significant mistake.
It appears Edwards and Hughes are prioritising a coach they can easily control — someone who will have little to no influence over transfers. If this is the case, we risk repeating the same errors that have plagued Chelsea and Manchester United, where short-term thinking and constant managerial changes have led to instability.
What Liverpool needs is a long-term project with a clear vision, not another quick fix that could come back to haunt us.There are several high-calibre managers available who could deliver the stability and ambition we require — names like Jürgen Klopp (should he be open to returning), Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, and Unai Emery.
All it would take is genuine effort and ambition from those in charge. Instead, it feels like key decision-makers are more focused on protecting their own positions than leaving the club in a stronger state for the future.
We deserve better.

@SimonBrundish Beyond mortified with the takes of so-called “fans” before the fella has even been confirmed. Modern Twitter era of fans is beyond brain rot.
English

@redraaj77 Seems more like LFC need a break from stupid fair weather fans such as yourself…
English

@kaiYnwa Wow! What incredible insight.. I guess it’s time for you to go support Chelsea or City since Iraola gives you such bad feelings. I mean… to not even be confirmed and giving “Arc” bad feelings… I just hope the data team that won two EPL titles & a UCL after 30 years finds out.
English

@AnfieldKnow Wow. That’s fucking atrocious. This is the summer a Manchester United fan would want for LFC.
English

My perfect #LFC summer window 🔴:
In 📥 £240m
Schlotterbeck (£50m)

Out 📤 £80m
Endo (£5m)
Chiesa (£10m)
Mac Allister (£60m)
Ramsey (£5m)
Keep ✅
Elliott
Tsimikas

@IddieL27 Such a disgrace you should go support a different team that might better appreciate all your faux outrage and tears… Arsenal seems a good fit for you. Liverpool is a club built on winning.
English

@hannah_pinnock Nope. Iraola is a fantastic manager, and I would be really happy with him but Hoeneß is special.
English

@Rydon_lfc @LFC The current state of supposed LFC fans is pathetic. Group of babies stoking cynicism to a dull herd of morons. What are you missing? Who the fuck are you to have any opinion minus your bad faith stats? I don’t even want Iraola as my top choice but the stupidity here is too much.
English

Am I the only one not feeling confident about Andoni Iraola going to @LFC ?
His stats are nowhere near Arne Slot’s, and while I don’t want Slot back either, I still don’t see what’s so special about Iraola.
Win rates:2024/25
Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth): 39.5%
Arne Slot (Liverpool): 67.9%
2025/26 Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth): 35%
Arne Slot (Liverpool): 52.8%
History also shows that Premier League managers coming from smaller clubs to big teams have rarely succeeded in recent times.
What am I missing?

English

@HendrickD82
Hey Dave -
Think there is a decent chance for Hoeneß? Or does your intuition tell you Iraola is nailed on? Honestly happy with both but Seb the clear stand out in terms of culture and DNA of the club. YNWA. m.
English

@HendrickD82 This X 1000. Hoeneß is the one.
Iraola is a talented manager but Seb can be the true Bob Paisley to Jurgens Bill Shankly.
Up the reds.
English

BREAKING 🚨 Liverpool are in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for German international Nico Schlotterbeck. £43M-£50M. #LFC

English

@HendrickD82 Same goes for a whole herd of useless spoofers who pretend to have any information past the narrative the club gives them. Gang of cowards and liars.
English

The club is in a bit of a mess behind the scenes.
They want to replace Slot but only with a top manager, they’ve pissed off Iraola by trying to get Enrique, who is likely going to stay at PSG anyway.
So they’ll end up sleepwalking into the season with Slot, who is unwanted and in last year of his contract, along with the captain and the goalkeeper 😭
English

@UziCryptoo A 150k earner isn’t rich nor the target of that statement. 🤡
English

Everyone shouts "Tax the Rich"... but look at the facts.
A $150k earner pays around $30,600 in federal tax.
A $25k earner pays about $1,200.
It takes 25 people on $25k to contribute what one person on $150k does.
So why drive high earners out of the U.S. when they already shoulder most of the burden?
The problem isn't how much tax is collected.
The problem is how much the government wastes.
Stop blaming the rich.
Start holding the government to account.
English

@TaintlessRed Did we contact them though? Or did his agent, who's driven this "interest" narrative for years, just tell Joyce that we did.
The latter seems more likely.
English

My guess is having pursued him previously, then later shown a lack of interest in him when he was eager to join, Liverpool only contacted his agents again after Barcelona made their interest clear. They really wanted him, that tends to matter for players.

🎖️ | @_pauljoyce: Liverpool made strong contact with Anthony Gordon’s camp only to discover that he preferred a move to Barcelona.
