@kylewalker2 I'm a City season ticket holder and wondered whether we would see u at all during a game for any farewells. It would be a shame if u just moved on without applauding u for your years of great service to the club.

Was in a supermarket yesterday. Chatting away to man on the checkout as I packed away shopping. All lovely and friendly and polite. Foreign man who was next after me grabbed his groceries off the conveyor belt and stormed to a different checkout. The sales assistant and myself just looked at each other bewildered. Yer man kept glaring at me with an angry face. I never saw anyone look so demented. There’s a lot of really unhinged people coming in here now, isn’t there? No friendliness, no manners, no acceptance of local customs and norms. Old Ireland is lost.

It’s astonishing to see the misguided and incorrect views and consequences of adding VAT on school fees. People for this ridiculous policy just don’t seem to get that most independent schools can’t absorb this cost. Most parents aren’t “loaded” and this will do harm to children.

@thatginamiller It's not about politics it is about private schools that are businesses getting away with not paying tax. The reality of tax is horrendous for some people, is it not. This is what the majority of the country have to face.

I hear this is happening all over the country. It's a disaster for these children, including many SEND children Badly thought through policies that are more about politics than people always have devastating unintended consequences

Hey @bphillipsonMP how do you propose I transfer my children back into State Education, when this is the response from @cardiffcouncil ??? This unnecessary duress is taking its toll on children, but you don’t really care do you? @EducationNotTax #EducationNotTaxation

Please explain to me why, when a parent wants to give a child a private education. They’re almost insulted. Yet older in life, you want better healthcare so you go to a private hospital and it’s acceptable? Why the difference. In both cases you’ve paid your NI so unused school places are paid for still. It’s a choice. Why not?

@Roy82648023 @kelvmackenzie People have short memories. I wish they showed on TV what it was like then. Thatcher rescued the Country which was discribed as the "sick man of Europe".

@Roy82648023 @kelvmackenzie Oh, come on, Roy, there's been 40+ years since that happened. So ridiculous. Most of the public companies are no privatised so who's going to strike.

@kelvmackenzie Yes, at least they spend their wages in Britain driving the economy rather than putting it in offshore accounts, which helps no one apart from the billionaire.

@tomhunt1988 I can not believe a Tory MP has the nerve to say anything about SEN being victims of a Labour budget. They've been a victim of Tory Government's for 14 years.

Something deeply disturbing about hearing hundreds of Labour MPs cheering the introduction of VAT on schools fees. Huge numbers of children with special needs both in the independent sector and state will pay the price. Yet this all comes secondary to the the misguided class warfare some Labour MPs are determined to fight.

@RishiSunak You do not know anything about the working man. You destroyed them for 14 years, so bloody shut up. This budget is to cover the mistakes of a Tory government.

When Osborne added 3% SDLT to so called “second homes” he had no concept of how many ordinary people had a share in another property through divorce, helping out children or elderly parents etc. It’s clear that Reeves knows even less, upping it to 5% is moronic.

@Bella_healtheco The government can’t afford SEN support for all. It is sticking its head in the sand and ignoring all the issues around the huge rise in kids with ADHD, Autism and other related conditions. Perhaps because big pharma & the food giants want them not to look too hard.

People have asked why bother campaigning against VAT on school fees, there are many more worthy causes. I’m a SEN parent & I really struggled at school, educationally & socially. I hate the idea of any child having to move school for the purpose of political point scoring.

@KirstieMAllsopp This is ridiculous @KirstieMAllsopp. Private schools should not exist in the first place. If people can afford to send children to a school, then they should be taxed more to make sure SEN in ALL schools is funded. Private schools are NOT a charity.

@DavidDavisMP You are a joke @DavidDavisMP. There is no need for private schools. All money should go to improving public schools. If people can afford to pay for private education, then they can pay more bloody tax.

@Malachians I'm a City supporter and if this is true how has that gone completely unreported. The fact they probably do not even need to do it makes it much worse.

I don’t spend an enormous amount of time on here anymore so maybe it’s been debunked but how did something as serious as Utd’s dressing room allegedly being bugged at Villa just disappear from the news cycle? If that is true, that is a really serious incident.
