@HMRCgovuk I’ve been waiting since MAY !!! Business was previously VAT registered as a partnership & we changed entity to limited company. One letter stating HMRC didn’t think we were a business back in October. It’s utterly ridiculous.

@CharlieSowerby Hi, Usually VAT registrations should be processed within 40 working days and the steer is to email vrs.newregistrations@hmrc.gov.uk if you haven't heard anything. I'm sorry if you have been waiting long than 40 working days, hopefully you hear something soon. Tom

@HMRCgovuk Hello, why are applications for VAT registration taking so long? I’ve written, phoned, emailed, filled out enquiry forms yet no one can be bothered to even acknowledge me let alone process the application.

@HMRCcustomers Hello, I have been trying to register my company for VAT. This has been going on since May. Last time I did this it took a few weeks. Why such a delay? It’s quite ridiculous.
