They will likely be able to raise money a lot cheaper than US Bitcoin treasury companies do. Let's say each company raises $1.0B. All $1.0B goes into Bitcoin immediately. Bitcoin compounds at 25% annually for 10 years. Dividends are treated as fixed annual cash drag on the original raise MARS pays 6.0% = $60M/year STRC pays 11.5% = $115M/year Year 10 result: Metaplanet NAV: $7.32B Strategy NAV: $5.49B Difference: $1.83B in favor of Metaplanet For context, with zero coupon drag, the $1B would grow to about $9.31B after 10 years at 25% CAGR. So the lower coupon cost compounds into a huge edge over time. The spread between 6% and 11.5% does not just cost $55M/year, it also removes capital that would have compounded at 25% for the rest of the decade. Strategy has a huge moat with scale, but the shareholders of Metaplanet will likely have the advantage of lesser coupon drag, so more value accrues to their shares.

You know what would prevent this? Not having federal employees with full taxpayer funded benefits and a retirement package doing the screening at airports. The Overton Window has shifted so much that most people just accept the way to "fix" this is for congress to fund the TSA. Well I'm old enough to remember when every airport had private companies contracted for screening and this was never an issue. Some airports, San Fransisco for example, still have a private company doing the screening and operations there haven't been impacted.
