The rapture is a theological novelty, utterly foreign to every Christian who lived before two hundred years ago. The idea is built mainly off of three prooftexts that dispensationalists yank wildly out of context. Thread🧵
Jon Elder@BlackLabelAdvsr

If your pastor isn’t teaching you that the rapture is real, a third temple will be built in Jerusalem, the tribulation is a real event, and that there will be a 1,000 year reign under Jesus on earth, then you need to find a new church.

Here is the link to help the Riecker family if you can. There's little words to describe the pain and grief that him and his family must be going through, so if Cameron has helped you in anyway like he has me, I encourage you to give a little back to him. gofund.me/b75f6a75a
Cameron Riecker@riecker

Jesus took my son Joshua to heaven yesterday. It was not expected and we still don’t know what happened. Please pray for my family. We are keeping the faith, but there is so much pain. Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever.

Consider giving to support Cameron Riecker's family in what must be an unimaginably painful time. Most of all, pray the Rosary for the Riecker family and call upon the Holy Family to comfort them. gofundme.com/f/support-for-…

It's actually even worse than that. Trump's exact formulation was that "the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens." He didn't actually deny that the government has duties of some kind to those here illegally (whether or not he believes that), but said merely that the first duty of governments was to their own citizens, which is obviously true. Yet they couldn't muster even lukewarm agreement with that. And the refusal to join in the condemnation of child mutilation was even worse. The Democratic Party remains degenerate and beyond the pale.
Jeffrey A Tucker@jeffreytucker

Not a person particularly moved by political matters, I was genuinely startled to see the whole of the Democrat Party remain seated during SOTU when ask to stand if you support the notion that government should serve citizens, not illegal aliens. The scene nearly took my breath away. Add the same approach to supporting the parents of a brutally murdered girl and the banning of child mutilation. They sat for those too. Is this an entire party of ghouls and freaks? Truly, it's bizarre. How can they win an election ever again/

”People are talking about the medical necessity of abortion to save the mother's life. I was one of those mothers. I was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that was cutting off my airway at 20 weeks of pregnancy. I will never forget when the first doctor, an oncologist, mentioned abortion. We had gone thru years of infertility to get pregnant. I knew I would rather die and give birth. Then I met with another doctor who listed all of the problems the baby would have if I did not terminate. I stood my ground and refused. He said, "That is ok. The baby will probably spontaneously abort anyway." I searched and found good doctors that supported me, and I gave birth to a healthy baby at 34 weeks. I will be celebrating 10 years cancer free in May. I have a healthy, beautiful, bright, precious 10 year old daughter who is a living reminder that doctors do not know everything” - Sarah Hull

@elonmusk @creation247 Always a good thing to do! But if one of Jesus' teachings—and a teaching he repeats—is that he is God, what does that imply for our own lives and actions?

Capitalize the name of God every time you write it. Same with the name of Jesus. Also when referring to He or Him, it must always be capitalized

@JoelWBerry Sorry, you're way off on this one. It's definitely not a fraction. I love Israel, the state of Israel, and the Jewsish people, but I am not a Zionist. That's not a controversial or contradictory position to hold.

The vast majority of the pro-life movement loves and supports Israel. If you care about saving preborn babies, it’s very unwise to shatter your own movement into pieces over a controversial and unrelated foreign policy position that only a fraction of your movement agrees with.

I want to express my strong support for the statement that Bishop Kevin Rhoades made this morning concerning a controversial appointment at the University of Notre Dame. Please read his communication in full, for he makes the case more completely and eloquently than I could. Suffice it to say that the woman proposed for a key leadership position at Our Lady’s University is not simply “pro-choice” on the question of abortion; she is a sharp critic of the pro-life position and those who advocate it. She has gone so far as to characterize the anti-abortion stance as rooted in white supremacy and racism, and she has insinuated that the Catholic commitment to integral human development implies the support of abortion rights. Like Bishop Rhoades, I speak as someone with strong connections to and deep affection for the University of Notre Dame. I believe that going ahead with this appointment is repugnant to the identity and mission of that great center of Catholic learning.   diocesefwsb.org/statement-of-m…

My mom and I have been told that my brother's psychosis - now full blown diagnosed Schizophrenia - is most likely drug induced from his years of smoking weed. This drug isn't harmless, no matter what our culture and screaming people in comments sections tried to tell us.

There are significant mental health issues strongly connected with marijuana use. Especially for Men. People may not like to hear that but it’s the truth. We’ve known about it now for years, and it’s showing up more in the younger generations.

“Who do we want?” “Barabbas!” “When do we want him?” “Now!” Campus leftists compare their enemy to Christ Crucified, and they think they’ve made themselves look like the good guys. Sin really does darken the intellect…
