@soxmachine_josh Doesn’t it look like the new White Sox stadium is still on the 78 side of the River in the photos?

@ChiSoxFanMike @KyleTeel9 Look at the positive; The Sox can now keep Korey Lee on the roster with Teel healing on the IL; also opens a spot for Everson Pereira to make team.

@ChiSoxFanMike No Everson Pereira? I believe he’s out of options. Maybe they’ll trade Sosa for a pitcher and Free up a roster spot

@situationbears White Sox will probably Follow the Bears to Indiana; They would want Property Tax Certainty as well if Ishbia pays for a new Stadium. NW Indiana is not that far from the South Suburbs.

Can’t see the Bears passing up the State of Indiana paying for their new stadium among other massive tax breaks. Looking more and more like they’ll leave Illinois

@ChiSoxFanMike The best part is Getz deferred a lot of the Salaries with these Free Agent signings to 2027. They probably won’t be paid at all next year because of a Season long Lockout. These guys are all One and Done; unless they get Flipped at the Deadline.

2026 salaries: Seranthony Domínguez: $7 million Austin Hays: $5 million Jordan Hicks: $4.5 million If we use the $20 million they saved by trading Robert as a baseline, the White Sox should have at least $3.5 million left to spend on a starting pitcher.

@JonHeyman Attendance is not a barometer of Baseball National Popularity. Baseball is a Regional Sport. When a city’s team gets eliminated at some point they turn the Channel to Football Basketball or Hockey. The only cities watching the World Series are the two that are in it.CheckRatings

@courtney883 You do understand in a few short years a New Owner is Gone without a Stadium deal. Can’t make a return on $1 billion investment playing at GRF.

Basically “Go screw yourself, Jerry.” Well done, JB.
Brenden Moore@brendenmoore13

.@GovPritzker, responding to @TinaSfon’s question about public subsides for a new White Sox stadium: “I start out really reluctant. And unless a case is made that the investment yields a long-term return for the taxpayers that we can justify in some way, I haven’t seen that yet.”

@HashTagWhiteSox This is not about JR. This is about the Sox staying in Chicago when a New Owner arrives soon. Without a stadium deal a New Owner is gone. They Can’t get a return on a $1 Billion investment playing at GRF.

Interesting dilemma for #WhiteSox fans. Many don’t want Reinsdorf to get subsidies for a new stadium (many out of convenience). Regardless, I don’t think the team stays in Bridgeport, there’s a real possibility Jerry will sell the team and the new owner might decide to reallocate

@CardsSox @JamesFox917 New owner would want a New Stadium. Can’t get a return on a $1 Billion dollar investment at GRF. JR only paid $20 million. He got a nice annual return at Comiskey and GRF.

@Ecnerwal23 Not a fan of JR, but he can’t Sell the Team before he dies because of Capital Gains Tax. If JR dies before a New Stadium deal is in place, a new Owner will pay $1.5 Billion for the team and then want a New Stadium or move the team.

@ChiSoxFanMike The Bears are going to build a Dome Stadium that could be used for Finsl Four; Concerts; Maybe Super Bowl. We don’t need two domes. Baseball outside in the Summer with that view and overall fan experience would be Awesome.

I get what people are saying in terms of wanting a roof on the new stadium so events can be held there during the winter, but I feel like a roof on a stadium in that particular location would not be a good idea.

@Arch_E_Texture @NBCSWhiteSox The Bears are building a Dome; Final Four Super Bowl potential. They don’t need 2 in the city. Plus would cost way way more.

@mikeplocinski @LastComiskey I’ve been in plenty of domes and retractable domes for baseball. It’s a Sterile feeling. Sox can’t blow it this time for a New Park. Let the Bears have the dome; for Final Fours etc. Keep it the park small and close to the action.

@LastComiskey Retractable roof! We put a man on the moon, they can figure out how to do a canopy style roof that doesn’t limit city views when closed…

Madhouse / Last Comiskey@LastComiskey·
If there's a new ballpark, some things from Old Comiskey that could be incorporated: - Outfield upper deck and rooftop (suggest just in right, with bleacher seating and city view in left). - Upper decks stacked above lower deck, with suites above (suites could have a 360 degree -- all glass --skyline/city/lake view). - Minimize impact of the poles by putting stadium clubs/restaurants/suites behind the poles in the lower deck.
