Skybusters are responsible for dead snows. Not avian flu. The geese will fly to roost injured and die overnight. It’s been happening since forever. They fly over blind, takem called, boom boom boom from 12 guys, bunch of shots, not enough to drop them, but eventually they die. We’ve had dogs chase them for miles & miles. Snow Goose hunting is fun and crazy. They are resilient birds. Beautiful dog by the way. Happy hunting!

Happy Thanksgiving from the farm. Parents are visiting. Dad started a “small” fire in the pit. It turned into a 17-acre hay fire that nearly took the barn and the farmhouse. Flames were inches away. A dozen volunteer firefighters left their Thanksgiving dinners to save us. Rural Alabama heroes. Last photo of the bales still burning at sunset. They say it’ll smolder for days. Exhausted. But very, very blessed.
