It's literally everyone requesting their accounts be deactivated because they aren't going to pay the new fees. D2D will collapse shortly and they deserve it.

Draft2Digital is instituting activation and maintenance fees, and Barnes and Noble Press is establishing a higher base sales price. Going to have to dump both of them. It’s just brutal to be an indie author right now. This economy sucks eggs.

Hi, we’re @Draft2Digital. We’ll take more from what little commission you’re getting from any sales than when you just offer your books directly. Now, we will also now make you pay us when you don’t sell enough. Already took everything off there. Now deleting account.

I've gotta say, I'm quite proud of how much I wrote today! I got a chapter written and broke 8,000 words. I was convinced I wouldn't even break 7,000 today. If I can manage to do this daily, I should have a complete first draft in a few weeks! ❤

Do you do scene breaks? If yes, what kind?Three asterisks, a fancy symbol, or just extra space? Something else?

@ChelseasBookHub That’s a big challenge for sure, crafting a pitch that really hooks readers takes skill. Do you usually focus more on the blurb, social media, or other ways to get attention?
