I am convinced people do not remember what childhood was like. Children learn what “gay” is in first grade from other kids. That was the first time I heard the word in 1990. And we start figuring out we are gay at the same time you all start figuring out you like the opposite sex, so childhood. We don’t suddenly develop gayness in adulthood. The same time you were developing crushes on boys, we were also developing crushes on boys. When you were wishing to kiss a boy, we were wishing the same. When you were dreaming of your first boyfriend and to walk through the halls holding his hand…guess what? All of us gay boys were having the same dreams. The difference has always been that you are free to live your dreams and we have to hide ourselves.

She Called The FBI In 1996. They Opened A File. Then They Told Her It Never Existed. She Spent 29 Years Being Called A Liar. September 3, 1996. A file is opened inside FBI headquarters. Classification: child pornography. The woman who made the call is identified only as "a professional artist." She described photos she had seen inside a Manhattan mansion. She described the man who owned those photos. She described what she witnessed being done to young girls. She gave them everything. Then she waited. Nobody called back. Nine years later, a local detective in Palm Beach knocked on a different door. Found forty victims. Handed the FBI photographs, videos, and documented evidence of child trafficking across multiple states. The FBI opened a formal investigation. Two years later — they closed it. One plea deal. Thirteen months. Out by noon every day on work release. The trafficking continued. The FBI kept receiving tips. For eleven more years, women were brought to his island, his Manhattan townhouse, his private ranch. For eleven more years — the file sat there. It took a newspaper reporter to force the arrest in 2019. Thirty-three days later, he was dead. Now twelve women — listed only as Doe 1 through Doe 12 — are standing in federal court. They're not suing his estate. They're suing the FBI. They want $100 million. And they want every internal document, every memo, every email showing exactly who received each tip — and made the decision to do nothing. But here's the part that changes everything. When the FBI's own internal review was published in 2020 — it didn't mention the 1996 complaint. Not once. For another five years, the woman who made that call was told: your report doesn't exist. In December 2025, the DOJ confirmed it did. One page. Dated September 3, 1996. Which means someone inside the FBI knew that file existed — and chose not to include it in their own review. The question isn't whether the file was real. The question is: who decided to make it disappear? usstories.mstfootball.com/lam/twelve-wom…

The IDF shot up a family of 6 in a car. 2 parents and 4 kids aged 5-11. Then they removed the 11 year old who survived and beat him. *After* they beat him, they asked him who they had just killed. The boy said his family, and they kept yelling at him, calling him “liar, liar”. This was not in Gaza where the genocide is happening. This was in the West Bank where illegal Israeli settlers live under Israeli civil law and Palestinians live under Israeli military law - officially and explicitly. And yet Israel nonsensically claims there’s no apartheid. There’s always been violence against Palestinians in the West Bank but it has massively ramped up since the Iran war started. Dozens of murders, over a hundred cases of settler violence, and 180 Palestinians kicked out of their homes by illegal Israeli settlers. There is a pattern many have noticed. When there’s a distraction - anything ranging from the Super Bowl to a full fledged war - Israel ramps up the war crimes. One can only conclude this is calculated and intentional. I call them illegal Israeli settlers because for half a century, the UN and International Court of Justice have ruled these settlements are illegal. Beginning in 1979, the UN Security Council resolved the settlements were illegal and in 1980 that they must be dismantled. The 1980 vote was 15-0. Even the US affirmed the resolution. In 2004, the International Court of Justice formally upheld that these settlements were illegal. At the end of 2022, the UNGA asked the highest court in the world for another opinion. And in 2024 the ICJ formally gave it. They plainly stated: 1) Israel’s continued occupation of the OPT is illegal (not only Gaza and the West Bank, but also East Jerusalem) 2) All ~750,000 Israeli settlers must leave the OPT 3) Israel must pay reparations 4) All countries must acknowledge the occupation is illegal and must not aid Israel in any way in maintaining its illegal occupation Obviously Israel is blatantly spurning the highest court in the world. The framing is important. This isn’t just a few bad apples doing a few bad things. This is 50 years of blatantly illegal and wildly oppressive occupation, enacted by 750,000 Israelis, by direct and official policy from all of Israel, and it is largely ignored, tolerated, and in some cases financially supported by The West. The call to Free Palestine thus isn’t some abstract, obscure, or whimsical ask. The International Court of Justice has very clearly ruled that Israel must GTFO of Palestine. We simply want Israel to follow basic international law and leave Palestine alone. And we want the world to do something about it if Israel won’t. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Private equity firms bought 500 hospitals. Death rates in their emergency rooms went up 13%. They fired 12% of the staff. Then they paid themselves billions in dividends. A Harvard study just confirmed what doctors already knew: people are dying so investors can hit quarterly targets. Exactly what happens. A PE firm buys a hospital using debt. The debt gets placed on the hospital's balance sheet, not the firm's. Now the hospital owes hundreds of millions it never borrowed. To service that debt, the hospital cuts costs. Costs mean nurses. The numbers from the Harvard/University of Chicago study are horrifying. After PE acquisition, emergency department salary spending dropped 18.2%. ICU salary spending dropped 15.9%. Hospital-wide employees were cut 11.6%. Emergency department deaths rose 13%, seven additional deaths per 10,000 visits. A separate study found patients undergoing surgery at PE-acquired hospitals had 17% higher odds of dying within 90 days. Steward Health Care, owned by Cerberus Capital, filed bankruptcy with $9 billion in debt after closing hospitals across Massachusetts. The CEO lived on a $40 million yacht while emergency rooms went dark. Eight hospitals serving 2 million people nearly disappeared because a PE fund extracted more cash than the system could survive. The private equity industry has poured over $1 trillion into healthcare. They operate a quarter of ERs nationwide. This isn't going away. The investing angle nobody talks about. Non-PE hospital operators like HCA Healthcare (HCA) and Tenet (THC) are the direct beneficiaries. Every time a PE hospital closes or deteriorates, patients flow to the nearest competitor. HCA has returned 1,200% since 2011. Patient volume from PE closures is a structural tailwind nobody's pricing in. Medical staffing firms (AMN Healthcare, Cross Country) charge premium rates specifically because PE hospitals cut staff. The staffing shortage IS the business model for these companies. The disruption play: outpatient surgical centers (SCA Health, now part of UnitedHealth) are pulling profitable procedures out of hospitals entirely. PE-owned hospitals lose their highest-margin surgeries to outpatient, and the death spiral accelerates. Pull up tradevision and monitor healthcare M&A alerts, hospital closure filings, and patient volume migration data. When a PE-owned hospital announces "restructuring," the patient volume shift to competitors like HCA starts within 30 days. That 30-day window is when the competitor's earnings revisions haven't updated yet. Free to try. (a private equity firm bought your local hospital. borrowed $500 million in the hospital's name. fired 12% of the nurses. emergency room deaths rose 13%. then they paid themselves dividends. nobody went to prison. they're currently buying another hospital.)

they convicted the Prairieland people for having zines, and protesting. keep running your mouth on the internet. shit’s not a fucking game. they will kick your door down and put you in jail, railroad you, and send you to prison. Especially in the South. Your internet friends you are trying to impress aren’t going to get you out, send you money, or remember your birthday. There are violent Nazis, actual Nazis, in prison, both inmates and staff. If it is known that you are a communist, and it will be known, you will suffer at their hands. They aren’t going to debate or exchange snark like leftists do, they will corner you and open your fucking throat. Shut the fuck up and build something concrete so you can survive if something like this happens to you.

This is why we must get everyone to understand that sanctions are not an “alternative” to war; they are an act of war. Sanctions have killed over 38 million people since 1971. Half of those were children under the age of five. End the Siege on Cuba!

"The sniper who shot my friend Jihan's 3 year old daughter Noor, shattering her tiny legs while she was in her mother's arms in Gaza, is a hateful, racist ghoul -- I understand that's one of the things I've been criticized for saying. And I double up on it, frankly. But the rage, the disgust even hatred that Jihan or I feel toward that sniper is not racism. It is not anti-Jewishness. It is not anti semitism. Nor are her feelings toward the tank operator who blew out the back of her son Arhab's head, making her fingers sink into his brains when she tried to pick him up. Our feelings or words in response to 78 years of this barbaric, colonial violence are not 'reprehensible.' They are not antisemitic. And they are not anti Jewish. In fact, despite everything they have done to us -- despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of Jews both inside & outside of Israel support this zionist carnage & domination -- we still have the tender human sense to recognize those Jews, however a minority they may be, who do not support Israel. And to embrace the far smaller minority who are anti zionist, in fact."

I have taken a good number of these calls. You definitely hear “I don’t want to die for Israel” but refusal to fight triggered by the girls’ school massacre is a much more frequent refrain. The anti-war movement can & must appeal to the morality of service members in this moment
Center on Conscience & War@CCW4COs

Hundreds have called our hotline. The most common thing we hear from service members and their families is that the Minab school bombing was the catalyst that turned them against the war and the military as a whole.
