@materialcontext @Kannas_Ricebowl Didn't do it for me. Those are great, some are in my top 10, still didn't came close to no 1, that's aot.

@ChezzyNeo @Kannas_Ricebowl Maison Ikkoku washes. Nana washes. Clannad washes. Even Toradora washes.

Despite being the most successful, action is actually the weakest genre of anime...
An average action anime tends to be a lot worse than an average anime belonging to any other genre, and even the peaks of the action genre can't touch the peaks of romance/drama/thriller etc.

Drop an anime opinion that would have you like this.
English

@IIuvatar_ Just scrolled through your account and realized that you never praise anything that comes out of that studio lol. Sad that accounts that celebrate animation are run by ppl with agenda/bias.
Anyway that was strong contender for eoty. Cry bout it. It's subjective anyway.
English

@SinChiSan_ Ive said this before but JJK post shibuya is a mixed bag in the manga. Anime is making that experience far more enjoyable with these creative choices. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of s3, this arc/season becomes many anime only's fav.
Gosso is doing God's work for JJK.
English

@Namaryuu @SinChiSan_ At the end of the day, general consensus is that this arc is a mixed bag in the manga. Its filled with tons and tons of info dumps and unnecessary explanations without much end goal.
If anything anime is making it far more enjoyable than what a standard adaptation could've been.
English

@SinChiSan_ The point is that some people just want to watch a series that doesn't go crazy with all sorts of angles, techniques for what seems to be no reason other than to show creative prowess. The other thing I noticed is that those terms are interpreted differently by various people.
English

@ChezzyNeo @sogisage You missing the one we know for sure is the biggest lmfao... sendai
English

@sogisage fk i forgot bout the biggest one, yeah miso's bout to go insane on that one
English

@chromat1cfire @UnknowN535353 Tbf I think those ppl are still interest in stories, they just don't talk bout it much or at all. Otherwise I'd would've seen far more glaze for shows like Lazarus, Sanda, and Yaiba but from my memory very few ppl were covering those.
English

@UnknowN535353 Fate, Sentenced To Be A Hero, To Be Hero X etc are series that I doubt most sakuga bros have read before or knew anything about. TBHX is an original series on top of that.
Despite such strong writings, all I see is animation glaze. It's almost as if anime exists only for sakuga.
English

@FNoproblem @UnknowN535353 Imagine modulo ends on a cliffhanger and Yuji's main villain of part 2, that'd crazy
English

@UnknowN535353 I think there’s gonna be another series after this, but it’ll probably be short like Modulo, because I don’t see Gege stretching JJK for that long, ngl
English

@chromat1cfire OK after Jeju I agree they need to slow down and add sum stuff, especially now that they aren't worried bout the show's popularity, it's already popular so they can experiment and expand upon things.
English

@ChezzyNeo It worked for a weekly manhwa but not for a proper anime that is more lively as a medium.
The manhwa wants you–the reader to fill in the blanks.
And after Jeju they do skip and rush a lot of things.

Solo Leveling's Aniplex producer Sota Furuhashi on Solo Leveling's anime: (1/3) The way that the chapters are divided in the manhwa is completely different from Japanese manga. The concept is that it is designed to be read in a short time while traveling on the train to work or-
English

@chromat1cfire Slowing down wouldn't really change ppl's perception of the story. If anything it'd hinder the show's popularity, there's a reason why one of the least interesting ep was anime original ep 8, in long run I barely even remember it and have no motivation to watch reaction vid of it
English

@chromat1cfire Ehh I feel the opposite, the pacing was one of the reasons why it blew up in the first place. Every ep had sum exciting going on, every ep Mc discovers sum new or meets someone new. It never pretends to do anything more than what it promised, it gives u what u want in every ep.
English

@NicholasLight Like someone said, in anime community, the only anime that gets talked about are either have god tier adaptation or dog sht adaptation.
Once you have a mid/decent/*only good' adaptation like HP and sakamoto days, ppl won't talk bout it much.
English

@NicholasLight Most of the Twitter loves what jjk lol, it's the small minority that's complaining that's sticking out. The silent majority are loving the season.
English

@NicholasLight Because those are SEASON 1s lol, they're trying to sell the ip so they're starting strong, JUST LIKE OPM SEASON 1.
Most of those anime don't maintain that quality after their first season.
English

@NicholasLight Like I feel like ppl on west really overestimate how much something is popular in its home country. The fortnight collabs means nothing to these producers.
Their main source of money is from merch, streaming and bluray. Opm does terrible in all of them.
English

@NicholasLight I wonder when will you understand that OPM is just not a profitable ip from business perspective. It never does well in Japan streaming wise, the Bluray numbers for both season 1 and 2 were abysmal and it doesn't sell much merchandise.

English

@UnknowN535353 @OzonSage That fact was rarely ever brought up nor it had any significant impact of the story lol, its not ur fault you don't remember it.
English

@OzonSage I think "physical" damage hold much higher value for viewers, see how i couldn't even remember this fact but its been years since i watched Naruto yet i remember his bruised face.
I think sometimes it feels like manga authors are scared to show their female character bruised.
