Not all polls are created equal. We gave voters the best case for every candidate. No attacks. They chose us.  Maybe it's because I've never taken corporate PAC money. Won't take AIPAC money. That I'm fighting for working families, not wealthy interests. Let's keep pushing.

he future of DC’s LGBTQ+ community should be shaped by the voices of queer and trans young people. That’s why the Wanda Alston Foundation is launching a community survey for LGBTQ+ young people ages 18-30 in DC. Take the survey today + enter to win a $100 gift card at dclgbtqsurvey.org or link in profile!

Jorge Membreño, Director of Youth Advocacy at DC Action, testified before Councilmember Matt Frumin and @DCHumanServ to reconsider the new 24-month lifetime cap on youth transitional housing and restore the ability for young people to re-access services when they face renewed housing instability. #WashingtonDC

Mayor Bowser has given everything she has to her hometown. She led with determination and a genuine love for the people of DC—especially during some of the city’s most challenging times. Her service has strengthened DC and set the stage for the work that must come next.

Thank you @MayorBowser for your longtime commitment to the LGBTQ+ community! Because of her consistent support, the Wanda Alston Foundation has been able to strengthen and expand its housing and counseling programs, ensuring that more at-risk queer and trans youth receive the safety, stability, and life-saving care they deserve.
Muriel Bowser@MurielBowser

It has been the honor of my life to be your Mayor. Together, we have built a legacy of success of which I am intensely proud. With a grateful heart, I am announcing that I will not seek a fourth term. For the next 12 months, let's run through the tape and keep winning for DC.

In all the debate around whether to legalize Waymo in D.C., this is a really interesting (and relevant) question to ask. Additionally: What of the many drivers who are already making a living off of Uber, Lyft, and other ride-hailing services? What will happen to them?
Alex Taliadoros@AlexCTaliadoros

@DemolishSEblvd @theemmamont Genuine question: do you worry about the impact of a cheap, abundant force of Waymos on public transit? I remember in 2015-16 when ridesharing fees were artificially low, it was really tempting to skip my two-bus commute for a $3.99 Lyft. Without labor, how cheap can Waymo get?

When democracy is under threat, we can't sit on the sidelines. That's why I’m stepping up to run for City Council in my hometown of Providence. After a career electing leaders and winning campaigns on the issues that define our era, it’s time for me to get in the game.

It’s back to school season and across DC we are getting ready to teach our kids and prepare them for the future.

Today, 1,000 additional National Guard troops are set to arrive from West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi. Some will likely be armed.

National guardsmen have families too —Instead of patrolling the National Mall and streets of an American city with a 30 year crime low, they should be able to be home helping their kids get ready to go back to school too.

I’ve been talking to unhoused residents around the city today about what to expect and trying to connect folks to resources and indoor shelter in light of the federal sweeps planned to begin tonight.

Thank you @DMHHS_DC @DCHumanServ for all of your efforts and big shout out to the many service providers in DC working around the clock including @miriamskitchen @PathwaysDC @CommunityConnDC @DowntownDCBID @WashLegalClinic and many others.
