4 games back to back at 90+ meta is damn impressive. How many other game series can boast the same consistency from a review pov? Uncharted (three 90+) GTA, Zelda, Mario? Damn impressive work
ASHA@asha_shar

Amazing to see so many players exploring @ForzaHorizon 6 this weekend, making this the most played Early Access in series history. Massive congrats to @WeArePlayground for delivering four consecutive 90+ games, an exceptionally rare accomplishment in this industry!

@lastchalice The campaign was good in the beginning until they went to the open world. That’s when it went downhill in my opinion. It felt so deflated like the ring didn’t feel special anymore. Just my opinion though.

I beat Halo Infinite for the sixth time. If it’s not obvious by the number of times I’ve played this campaign, I like it more than most. It’s not perfect, but it pretty much did everything I’d hoped it would as a fan of the original Bungie games. Back is the original art style, the familiar yet modernized gameplay, a soundtrack that evokes the best titles in the series, classic enemies and in general, a vibe that embodies what Halo always was. I like the story told, I enjoyed the rogues gallery of boss fights. Fernando Esparza (The Pilot), Chief, The Weapon (Joy) and Escharum are all characters I never grew tired of. I appreciated that the cast was kept rather small. Taking Halo from a level based structure with set piece moments to open world with a one-shot camera approach proved to be a divisive decision, but for one entry in the series and not the template going forward I was really happy to have this change in direction. The story of what happened to Zeta Halo, Cortana and the rest of the Infinity isn’t the best story ever told, but I felt it was compelling from start to finish. Many may find the pivot to this direction after Halo 5’s ending to be abrupt, but I found a soft reboot to be essential after the mistakes that were made previously. It’s a good story, only hampered by the promise of more to come that never did. If I were to level any strong criticisms at Halo Infinite it’s the lack of different environments for the majority of the experience. You’ll find yourself in the beautiful Pacific Northwest inspired landscapes, Banished bases, or deep within the tunnels of Forerunner architecture and nowhere else. You can’t blame those who found the lack of environmental diversity a bit on the repetitive side. It’s also worth noting that while the equipment is great for the multiplayer side, it’s so undercooked within the campaign it almost should have been left out. The grapple hook is your friend, everything else becomes a nuisance. Ultimately, Halo Infinite was a return to form as far as my expectations were concerned. They got everything right at a fundamental level, but unfortunately didn’t manage the few extra additions that could have propelled the experience into an all time favorite for fans of the series, even if it’s one of mine. This is the game that led to my start in content creation as well as numerous friends and opportunities. For that, it will always be extra special to me. I adore Halo Infinite.

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. It's what makes us human." Imparting hard-earned wisdom from the many losses he's suffered, the Master Chief comforts pilot Fernando Esparza for his own failures to bolster his courage in the war against the Banished. #FictionFriday

@RinoTheBouncer Halo Infinite. Literally everything I wanted in a Halo game since Reach. I really felt 343 pulled it off and gave me another Bungie caliber tier Halo experience. Seems I’m mostly alone in that thought.

People say Helix has to offer something you can’t get on other consoles. Playing Xbox console games and your Steam library on the same console is something no one else can offer. Which is exactly why fake “leakers” catering to message boards full of rabid Sony fans are so desperate to try to poison the well and call Helix a PC and not a console. They’re scared shitless of it.

@JohanzelV @Xbox Why you lying with this fake neutral stuff? I’ve long said I play the most on PlayStation. I game on Nintendo, Steam and Xbox weekly too, but PS is where I tend to game the most. Also, games releasing on PS is great for Xbox. I think your business acumen might be lacking a bit.

This is still on of my all time favorite Starfield POIs. Anyone else? Notice: I’ll be avoiding posting any potential spoilers for a while since we have a lot of first time players.

@Zuby_Tech That's fine we actually don't want them to upgrade to PS5 at this point we want them to skip a generation and upgrade to PS6. The PS6 will likely be $599 ($600) but way more powerful than the PS5 and PS5 Pro.

@Mr_Rebs_ Best position was #71. That's absolutely concerning. Even Splitgate 2 was in the Top 30.

Marathon doesn’t seem to be doing well on Xbox. The official Xbox most played games chart lists Marathon at #77. Not being in the top 25 shortly after release is concerning, so this is very concerning. The list is normally correct, but I hope this is an error. I’m proud to be one of the few Xbox runners 🫡 #Marathon #Xbox

@wearecyberpunks Ich freu mich. Wenn die Gerüchte halbwegs stimmen, soll das Fliegen im Welltall "freier" sein. Wenn man ohne Ladebildschfirm von Planeten zu Planeten fliegen kann. Dann ist starfield für mich das beste space RPG game momentan.

I Was Right. With Project "Helix" They Are Changing The "DNA" of Xbox Into A Mini PC
William R. Aguilar tweet media

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 "𝗫𝗯𝗼𝘅": 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗦 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗣𝗖𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟭/𝟮: If the next Xbox runs Steam then it is not a console it is a Mini PC. It would be similar to the Steam Machine last generation. It may have a controller and be the size of a console but the distinct difference between a console and a mini PC is that a Mini PC isn't running a unique SKU for a game, it's running the PC version of a game which means that SKU Version of the game does not have the possibility to be as optimized as a unique console version because the game still has to be made to run on a vast variance of different computers that each could have 1000s of different parts from multiple different competing companies. Developers could still optimize the PC SKU Version of a game to run "well" on a Xbox branded Mini PC but they will not be able to optimize to that specific set of hardware as deeply as they could when coding to the metal to get the absolute maximum amount of performance out of a dedicated high end consumer level console like the upcoming PlayStation 6. This is why games from Naughty Dog like Uncharted, Last of Us, and Intergalactic look like they are almost a full console generation ahead of everything else. Developers with skill and dedication can push the limits of performance and fidelity of games on console hardware, beyond what is expected to be possible, because they only have to take into account one specific preset of parts that are already designed to work together at a deeper level than parts that could be swapped in and out on a PC. This applies to ALL of the millions of PlayStation Consoles sold that generation. To be clear, assuming the specs perform similarly, the PC version of a game could be better optimized than a Console Version but the difference is that there is a deeper level of possible optimization, for developers, on a Console SKU than on a PC SKU, due to the vast variance of different possible parts on PC. This is not theoretical it's axiomatic. It's a law of physics. Let's take, for example, only two of the multiple different possible parts that could be in a PC designed to run the same SKU PC Version of a game - the CPU and GPU: AMD, Intel, & Nvidia CPUs and GPUs that are rated to be roughly similar to each other, in power, will not perform the same PC Version of a game at the exact same level of performance because they each have unique, proprietary, patented technology and techniques to do similar things in different ways. For example, FSR and DLSS are similar but they don't achieve the goal the same way and they both have different strengths and weaknesses, due to their unique designs. Even if you turn these features off, the three companies design their chips differently. Additionally, while you can pair an AMD CPU to work with an Nvidia GPU they won't work together as well as pairing a CPU & GPU from the same company. If you built 6 different computers, that are roughly rated to be similar in power, where 3 of them have a CPU & GPU from the same of each of the three companies (AMD with AMD) and 3 of them that mixed parts between the companies (Intel with AMD) these 6 computers will not run the same PC Version of a game at the same level of performance and fidelity. With a Locked Framerate, the 6 computers might all perform at a locked 30FPS at 4K, from start to finish, but if you unlock that framerate one of those PCs may be at 33fps then jump to 36 then drop to 31 and fluctuate wildly. The 2nd PC may stick to 35fps with an occasional drop to 32. Another PC may perform close to 40fps but then at random places it drops down further than any of the other PCs to 30fps and stays there for 15min in sections that the others never drop that low on before going back up to 37fps. This is because Intel, AMD, and Nvidia have completely unique, proprietary, and nuanced differences. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮: ⤵️
