@StarzOnBlast @MizoChris Gaming services layer is the layer to which I speak. Specifically I am talking about Automated Shader Delivery (ASD). That’s lot the only reason this layer is needed, but since you wanted to know that’s the bit I was thinking about.

@JayDook @MizoChris The gamepass layer is not needed because the game isn’t streamed or played through that same layer. You would know if you actually were a sysadmin/ network engineer.

Microsoft needs to leave Gaming Services in the past. I bought Forza Horizon 6 on Steam, Why should the game depend on Microsoft’s broken service layer just to launch? • Steam already handles ownership • Steam already handles updates • Steam already handles installs • Gaming Services only adds another failure point People are buying FH6 on Steam and still running into Gaming Services errors. That is absolutely unnecessary. Xbox games on Steam should only launch through Steam.
