IMAX went mainstream in 2008 with The Dark Knight. But it’s been a part of many people’s lives since going to the local science center as a kid. What’s changed is IMAX converting to digital and dismantling most of their 70mm projectors, and digital cameras now being good enough to be featured on 70mm / GT laser screens.

Whoever at @LA28 came up with the “Los Angeles resident” lottery for Olympics tickets is an evil genius… They have created the impression they’re giving locals a break when we’re actually caught in a “once in a lifetime” race we feel we must win, causing us to pay INSANE prices for crappy seats/events, so later they can continue to charge crazy prices to the rest of the world, safe in the knowledge that an artificial scarcity has been created on the backs of the people they duped into thinking were getting a “special privilege.” And yes, our family has already spent over $3,000 for two mid-range track events, with lousy seats, at a venue that will be nearly impossible to get to (assuming I’m even still alive in July of 2028)! 🤦‍♂️🤮

She loves one of them that's about 5 minutes from my house. I will literally sit there and order nothing because it's just not my cup of tea.
