NEW: Tulsa, Oklahoma, has unveiled the state's first-ever "musical road" that plays "This Land is Your Land" when drivers drive over it. The new feature can be experienced when drivers pass over the Southwest Boulevard Bridge. The taxpayer price tag works out to about $5,800 per second of music, totaling $110,000. Drivers are told to drive about 35 mph to get the proper experience. The noise is produced by grooves in the pavement that create vibrations felt and heard in the car. Cool.

@adamtirapelle I hated. I mean hated freestyle my entire life of wrestling 46 years. I know my 4 yr old self would’ve hated it to so I’m counting it. When the started enforcing the push out and action the last few years. It’s the best watch for a fan. By a lot. And I love folk style.

If anyone wants to explore the "Criteria vs. Overtime" debate. Here's some thoughts: Rules dictate behavior. We're trying to get more urgency and risk taking (ie aggressive wrestling) in the least amount of time. I think everyone would agree that 3 attacks in 3 mins is much better than 3 attacks over 10 mins. If you have a criteria, you very quickly create urgency in a match. If it's first point scored, right away we have urgency from the opening whistle. But let's say a takedown doesn't occur. Person going on bottom first now has an advantage. But it creates urgency. Because as soon as he scores, you have a criteria established, he's going to win in a tie. 3rd period, the losing wrestler (on criteria) knows they have to score AND they won't have to go into overtime if they sprint and waste all of their energy. You have a finite period of time defined for a match and no matter how exhausted you are at the end of 7 minutes, there is a winner and a loser. There is a huge benefit to knowing the finish line. Wrestlers will always keep something in the tank if there is an unknown, like possibly having OT and going another 3 mins. If they know 7 mins is the max, we're going to see a lot more activity and wrestlers walking off leaving it all on the mat. With the rules as they are now, we have very little urgency created. Why when you see something like Van Ness/Swiderski, it's so exciting. Imagine if we saw that many times in the last 1 min of regulation, instead of only seeing it in the tiebreakers. The tiebreakers, after 9 mins, is where we first bring urgency to a tight match. Criteria and ditching OT changes that completely.

Wrestling’s NCAA tournament is different. Team points come from 10 weights, multiple rounds, championship advancement, consolation advancement, placement points, and bonus points. Even after one loss, a wrestler can still keep scoring.

**Insights from the NCAA Tournament Top 5 teams. - Penn State's dominance shows no signs of slowing down. Despite finishing 50 points behind first place this season, they are thoroughly enjoying the journey and the challenges it brings. KEVIN WARD is one of the most underrated hires last off-season!!!! - Nebraska ended up a distant third with seven All-Americans. Unfortunately, Allred defaulted out of contention, and Araujo had a disappointing tournament performance. While they will lose some key players, Manning and his team have promising talent ready to step up from within. Plus, they can always explore the transfer portal for high-caliber additions. I believe Nebraska is closer to Oklahoma State than Oklahoma State is to Penn State in terms of projected tournament points for next year. - Iowa has a knack for rebounding when they are counted out to the dismay of many. This might be one of Brand's best coaching jobs yet, with this group producing 7 All-Americans. With the departures of Major Mike, No Brakes Drake, PK, and Peterson, expect Iowa to be very active in the transfer portal once again. - Stanford surprised everyone with a strong showing, finishing in the top five despite the program being dropped and reinstated a few years ago. All their qualifiers were underclassmen, and their roster is loaded with talent, Arrow point up!!! I wish the coaching staff had a black singlet in the corner with them on the back of the chair during Valencia’s match.
