Pedro and the team finished regenerating one of our oldest Syrah blocks using a technique called layering, in which we bury a cane from an existing vine that eventually produces new, self-sustaining plants. First trialed in 2021, this new technique is regenerating this block.

@AustinBeeman @JoeBerne1 Well as @RobBiesenbach says in Unleash the Power of Storytelling: Win Hearts, Change Minds, Get Results What makes a good story: 1. IS THE CHARACTER REAL AND RELATABLE? 2. IS THERE SUFFICIENT CONFLICT? 3. ARE THE STAKES HIGH ENOUGH? 4. IS THERE CLEAR CAUSE AND EFFECT?

@JoeBerne1 I posited years ago that dystopia and grim dark might be a form of self harm. People hated that idea, but.... In personal experience, my of my friends come away from entertainment in these genres more fearful, anxious, and less open to experiencing the real world.

Can anyone explain to me why you enjoy reading stories where the characters suffer greatly and/or are terrible? What's the appeal? (Not saying you SHOULDN'T love these stories, just want to know why). Why grimdark?

@bodegavinowines @damewine I do that too, but the average consumer is not going to do that. They will also not process their own beef or pork to get meat at $4 a pound. 😀

@damewine @ChildrenofGrape Or you can be like me and put a little work in make yourself a little wine cellar buy the grapes, crush the grapes, ferment the grapes, And at the end you have a whole lot of wine that costs you approximately $4 a bottle and It's 100% natural. @bodegavinowines
