Question: what is the most dominant Chelsea match you can think of? Doesn't necessarily have to be an absolute thrashing, can just be a game where the opposition had 0 chance from minute 1.
Obvious standouts to me are the 5-0 against Swansea under Jose Rd. ii And Chelsea 5-0 Everton under Antonio Conte. Any others?

Fears are very well founded but its funny too because in reality Iraola is wayyyy better a fit for Liverpool style wise if they sack Slot.
If Xabi wasn't an ex-player and a cultural fit because of it I feel like Liverpool wouldn't even be mentioned.

One thing I'd note however is those were all player transfers, not managers.

@Statford_Bridge Quenda arriving would be a great LWB option imo, and he might not have the speed/dynamism you'd expect from a wingback but if Anfield is anything to go by Cucurella can 100% do a decent job in those advanced areas

I'd bet we see a back 3 in ~1/4 to 1/3 of games. It's kind of an awkward fit.
Suits the CB's Chelsea have (every single CB at the club is better in a 3). Helps Gusto, Palmer, Steve.
But there isn't an obvious LWB solution and 4/6 W's can't play in the pocket.

Guys… No. Xabi Alonso is not going to come to Chelsea and play a back 3. He did that to maximise the limited squad he had at Leverkusen. Remember, back 3’s elevate average players to good but downgrade elite players to good. He’ll use a back 4 in 99 games out of 100. 100%.

Chelsea have alot of tools for a 3atb coach too. Hato/Josh are perfect wide CBs, Colwill's passing from the central CB role would be elite.
Quenda/Cucu/Reece/Gusto are all at least passable WB options. The teams major weakness is wingers but for inside 10's the team has options

The only real question mark surrounding Xabi Alonso is his long-term implementation of a back 4. What does that look like? Both in and out of possession? Because he tried it at Madrid but had to shift quickly because of the lazy and toxic squad. But he is worth the gamble.
