Now I’m with someone who’s the complete opposite of this. I bring up a movie I love and he’ll watch it because he “wants to spend 2 hours in my mind”. We may never know each other fully but the whole point is to try.

The love of my life was a sweet and loving man, but practically incurious about me. The books, films, video games, stories, that made me who I am will probably remain untouched on his shelves forever. He once said we are the same person, but how could he know?

@ChineseCheese I knew a guy like this. He’d take note of songs I loved and couldn’t stop talking about, then listen to them even though they weren’t his type, just so he could understand me through the lyrics. Eventually had an entire playlist dedicated to me. Well, years later… he cheated.🙃
