The highest temperature of the week will be on Wednesday which may tie the newly set all-time March record high of 97 degrees & easily break the daily record high of 90 degrees.

In addition to daily record highs set to be broken, if the forecast verifies, we are set to tie the longest streak of consecutive high temperature records in Las Vegas, which is 7. The other years we have done that is 2024 from July 6th-12th & 2020 from August 15th-21st.

Over the weekend, our officers from LVMPD Summerlin Area Command, LVMPD Northwest Area Command, LVMPD Traffic, LVMPD Dispatch, as well as Henderson Police, Nevada State Police, and Las Vegas City Marshals worked hard to keep you safe! We held a DUI Blitz, which resulted in: 🚓176 citations issued 🚨32 DUI arrests 🚗35 vehicles towed We are working every day to prevent death and destruction on our roads. Do your part. Over 200 new record high temperatures are forecast this week. 🥵 Record warmth will persist across portions of California, the Southwest U.S., the central Great Basin and will return to areas of the central/southern Plains and mid-lower Mississippi Valley later this week.
