@VoiceInYourHea5 @jaygooty_ @Hockey_Is_All @PaulAbbottII Ok so explain how there is more pressure on the pitcher in a 3-2 game with a runner on 2nd than there is in a 3-1 game with runners on 2nd and 3rd. In both scenarios, a base hit would tie the game and a home run would put the dodgers down by 1

@LeorKushner @ChrisCoop_ I know you are Yankees fan and that the norm for Yankees fans is to be butthurt that ohtani has gotten praise for playoff performances while judge hasn’t. You guys hate that judge gets called a choker. I get it, I’m a Lamar jackson fan

Rewatched the 2025 World Series last night and couple of notes... 1. Why the hell was Anthony Banda pitching in the bottom of the 6th in a 3-run game with bases loaded to Addison Barger before the grand slam 2. Will Smith's heroics aren't talked about enough, hit two late game go ahead HRs in game 2 and 7 that won both games. 3. The Dodgers somehow won with only 2 guys above an 800 OPS that series, including Mookie at a .424 OPS and Freddie at a .688 OPS. 4. Shohei Ohtani gave up 7 ER in 8.1 IP, 3 being in game 7 5. That is the worst sports loss I've ever seen and I don't think it's close😂 To Miguel Rojas of all people man holy shit

@LeorKushner @ChrisCoop_ Lmao yeah ok. You totally care about ohtani being praised for some other reason. Id love to hear what that reason is if it’s not you being salty that judge doesn’t get the same praise

@LeorKushner @ChrisCoop_ Well I’m assuming the reason you care about ohtani getting praise for a playoff performance is because judge gets hate when he sucks in the playoffs. If he hit very well in a WS and also pitched then he would probably get praised

@BondsEqualsGoat @podoffame Agreed. CC is not a half of fame caliber player. He got in because of the 3000ks and because he won a WS with the yankees. They’re both hall of very good imo

This shockingly doesn't help: CC Sabathia's top 10 WAR seasons: 6.7, 6.4, 6.3, 6.2, 4.8, 4.6, 3.7, 3.4, 3.3, 3.1 Mark Buehrle's top 10 WAR seasons: 6.1, 6.0, 5.3, 5.0, 4.8, 4.4, 4.2, 4.2, 3.8, 3.8
Professor Yankees@ProfYankees

@podoffame @baseball_ref By bWAR, the best season of Buehrle's career would be CC's fifth best. Hope that helps.

@LeorKushner @ChrisCoop_ Maybe judge would get more praise if he hit very well in a WS and pitched to an 8 era

@ChrisCoop_ And yet shohei is universally praised as a two way superstar athlete who always rises to the occasion despite in the 2024 WS not pitching and hitting about .100, and in the 2025 WS hitting very well but pitching to an 8 ERA

@The_Bizness22 @2kgrinders2 Holy shit you’re pathetic. How many yards would it take for you to admit that zay is a wr1? 1400? 1700? 2000? You sound like a spoiled brat

@2kgrinders2 He broke open on 2 plays due to things out of his control, leading to 100+ of those yards in Pitt game (qb breaking a sure sack and throwing a dime to him while he was covered by a LB in 2nd action, coverage break 2nd play) He can’t catch outside his frame.

If you’d pay zay 35m, why is 40m a bridge too far? I never understood that, considering league inflation wrt the salary cap. If you believe in him as your 1, 40m will be mkt value soon. I’m against paying pipsqueaks as feature pieces, period.
RAMEY@HoodieRamey

I gotta be honest I really like Zay Flowers. I’m EASILY paying him 30-35 million but 40+ million just feels insane. Receiver market is getting crazy. I’d probably seek out other options at that point.

@The_Bizness22 @sillygooseee69 What history? Please explain to what you mean about zay have a history of fumbling. You mean his 1 career fumble in 6 years of college and nfl before 2025? That history?

@sillygooseee69 Likely dropping the ball was unlucky, as he rarely did that before. Henry fumbling that many times early in a szn was also unlucky. Zay has a history of fumbling. Wouldn’t call that unlucky. Lamar also has a history of fumbling. I’d say the same if it were a Lamar vid up there.

@sonicsprin63949 @The_Bizness22 if a fumble isn’t recovered by the one who fumbled it, it’s just as bad as a fumble lost as far as individual performance is concerned imo. Pickens recovered 1 of his 4. OP definitely has it out for Zay considering he had 1 career fumble in 6 years of college and nfl before 2025

@ChocoIateDaddy @The_Bizness22 The numbers you provided are correct, but he said "fumbles lost." Even still, I'm not sure how that specific figure is relevant seeing as fumble recovery is often luck/teammate-dependent and only one of his fumbles were really recoverable, but it appears the OP has it out for Zay

@groovyykidd @el_trapahan @Jackson_Muse Right so we saw him do good in a game where he wasn’t being relied on as the top option. I would’ve preferred to keep likely simply because of the age, but it’s his own fault that he’s not the TE1 here right now. He took the same offer from NYG that he declined last year

@groovyykidd @el_trapahan @Jackson_Muse He didn’t in 2023, the one year they actually needed him to be the TE1. He had 30 yards and 1 nice td vs Houston when they won by 24, then he disappeared vs KC

@podoffame @baseball_ref They are definitely close. CC had better peak years. But I think there’s a better argument for CC not being a hall of famer than there is for Buerhle being one. They are both hall of very good imo

Both left-handed pitchers during the same era. CC Sabathia was a 1st ballot HOFer. Mark Buehrle received 20% of the vote on the 2026 HOF ballot in his 6th year of eligibility. Sabathia had the better career, but not by much. Does Buehrle deserve a plaque in Cooperstown?

@el_trapahan @Jackson_Muse Likely got the same damn contract and look at what his numbers were. And he turned down basically the exact same offer from baltimore before they offered it to mark. So anyone complaining that we have mark instead of likely should be directing all their complaints right at likely

@wizarianwest @The_Bizness22 No, I’m saying if people are going to pick on zay for fumbles, they better not be the same ones that constantly goon for Pickens. Ojabo being a miss is irrelevant

@Timdawg88154008 @JakeRabadi He was easily good enough in 2024. Having turnovers does not automatically mean you weren’t good enough. He’s had bad playoff appearances but acting like he’s never played like himself at any point in the playoffs is just wrong

2024 Lamar is genuinely one of the best QB regular seasons ever. 41 passing touchdowns (8.6%) 4 interceptions (0.8%) 10.2 air yards/attempt 119.6 passer rating 4172 passing yards Doesn’t even include what he did on the ground…
Jake Rabadi@JakeRabadi

There have been four NFL QB seasons since 2000 with • 30+ passing touchdowns • 8.5%+ pass TD% • <2% INT% Lamar Jackson: 2 (2019, 2024) Aaron Rodgers: 2 (2011, 2020) Only 2024 Lamar didn’t win the league MVP the year these numbers were accomplished

@The_Bizness22 This fumble in the afccg was his first fumble ever in his college or nfl career. And you think fumbles are “just a thing for him” after he had 1 season with 3? My god that’s dumb

@The_Bizness22 @sillygooseee69 Ok yeah, that’s what makes zays fumbles look unlucky. He isn’t consistently loose with the ball, he just got caught in a few bad spots. He had 0 fumbles in 4 years of college and has 0 fumbles in 2 of his 3 nfl seasons. Assuming 2025 is the norm for him fumble-wise is retarded

@sillygooseee69 But in 2025, he had 3 fumbles lost and nearly all of them were of him getting hawked while he was cutting back. Also, I made a mistake. Henry had 3 fumbles in 2024 as well, his fumbling issues in 2025 were just amplified bc of when they happened.
