Let me ask the question no one wants to say out loud. Why is Emmanuel Macron at an "Africa Forward Summit" ? Not because Africa needs him. Not because France has clean hands. Not because the continent owes Paris a single thing. Let me expose the real reason: 🇫🇷 France is panicking. 🇲🇱 Mali threw them out. 🇧🇫 Burkina Faso threw them out. 🇳🇪 Niger threw them out. 🇹🇩 Chad is looking at the door. 🇸🇳 Senegal is also asking questions. The CFA franc is dying. French military bases are closing. Russian flags are flying where French tricolors once stood. And Macron? He is jogging through Nairobi hoping no one notices the empire has already collapsed.
New Direction AFRICA@Its_ereko

🇰🇪🚨 Kenyans, are you watching this? A European President at an “Africa Forward” event? French President Macron just landed in Nairobi and couldn’t hide his true colors. On stage, he snaps at the African audience like disobedient kids: "Excuse me! Hey! Hey! I'm sorry guys, but it's impossible to speak about culture with people like that..." Lecturing us on culture while France still pulls strings on our resources, currencies, and economies? Kenyans… I hope you’re ready to be controlled, lectured, and exploited. Because trust me — he hasn’t even started yet. Africa is NOT your playground, Emmanuel. Wake up. Tag your leaders. Share this before it’s buried.

Sahel Revolutionary Soldier
🇲🇱🔥 THE SAHEL HAS CHANGED. AND THE WORLD IS STARTING TO REALISE IT: Something huge is brewing in the land that so many powers have long viewed as mere space to administer, operate or manipulate. Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger are no longer on hold. They no longer ask permission to exist. They advance, standing, despite diplomatic pressure, denigration campaigns, isolation attempts and alarmist narratives that announced their collapse. For decades, Sahelian Africa has served as a field of influence for external interests. Decisions taken far from the people have often pretended to speak on their behalf. Cooperative speeches have sometimes masked the logic of domination. Many today refuse this heritage. Alliance of Sahel States is no longer a symbolic statement. It's a political will that seeks to embody itself in a new military, economic and strategic cooperation. Yes, the challenges remain immense. Yes, the security threats are real. Yes, the geopolitical tensions around this region are strong. But one truth is imperative: the people of the Sahel have resumed their word. What bothers some international players is not just a change of alliances. It is the very idea that an Africa can only define its priorities, partners, security and future. The real upside down is here. He is in this new consciousness that crosses Bamako, Ouagadougou, Niamey and beyond. It is in this conviction that no real sovereignty is begged for: it is built, it is defended, it is earned. The Sahel writes a decisive page in contemporary African history. And whether we approve it or challenge it, no one can ignore it anymore.

The France–Africa Summit taking place in Nairobi must be viewed by Africans with open eyes and historical memory. France is not coming to Africa as a charitable friend. It is coming as a declining imperial power seeking new ground after being politically humiliated and strategically expelled from large parts of the Sahel. Countries like Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger have rejected French military domination and challenged decades of French political and economic control. France is now looking eastward, trying to reposition itself in Kenya and other African states under the soft language of “partnership,” “investment,” and “renewed cooperation.” commondreams.org/opinion/new-sc…

THE MAN WHO SOLD AFRICA: How Houphouët-Boigny Killed the Continent’s Best Chance at Unity You will frequently hear western analyst calling Houphouet the greatest African leader ever. There is a reason for that. Kwame Nkrumah had a simple belief: “The forces that unite us are intrinsic and greater than the superimposed influences that keep us apart.” His vision was a United States of Africa. A sovereign, one economy, one political voice, one continent that could never again be carved up and exploited. It terrified the West. And it found its most effective African enemy in Félix Houphouët-Boigny, the first president of Ivory Coast. A Minister Before He Was a President Houphouët-Boigny was an extremely smart and learned man. And mind you, this is before independence when most Africans didn’t have access to higher education. He was already a cabinet minister in the French government, serving under Prime Minister Guy Mollet in Paris. When de Gaulle drafted a new French constitution in 1958, he personally invited Houphouët-Boigny onto the drafting committee. His position was stated plainly: “Whatever happens, Côte d’Ivoire will enter directly into the Franco-African community. The other territories are free to group between themselves before joining.” Abidjan, April 1957 When Nkrumah traveled to Abidjan in April 1957, fresh from making Ghana free, he called on all African colonies to declare independence. The crowds were with him. Houphouët-Boigny waited until the last day of the visit to respond publicly. “Your experience is rather impressive,” he said and then added: “So let us meet again in ten years to see who among us has chosen the best approach for his people.” If this type of talk reminds you of the current president Ouattara, that is because Ouattara was a direct protégé of Houphouet. Guinea, September 1958 When Guinea’s Sékou Touré voted “No” to de Gaulle’s French Community and demanded full independence, his words were unambiguous: “We prefer freedom in poverty to riches in slavery.” Houphouët-Boigny openly declared that “Guinea would not only be confronted by France but also by the whole French-African community.” France then stripped Guinea bare on its way out, flooded Guineawith fake currency causing it to crash, filling up pipes with concrete, sabotaging other infrastructure, removing equipment from government buildings. Houphouët-Boigny stood behind them throughout. Washington, 1958 That same year, in a meeting with President Eisenhower, Houphouët-Boigny was direct. He told Eisenhower that Pan-Africanism “was Utopian and only a useful propaganda device,” and stated that “the future of Africa is with the West.” He then lobbied the U.S. not to support Guinea, framing Touré’s government as a communist threat. Eisenhower agreed that “larger entities in Africa cooperating closely with the West were far preferable to a series of small independent states.” The Fall of Nkrumah, 1965–1966 Houphouët-Boigny was instrumental in denying Nkrumah a much-needed triumph at the 1965 OAU summit in Accra , using his influence among Francophone states to block proposals for deeper political integration. The following year came the coup. Nkrumah was ousted in Ghana in 1966, and Houphouët-Boigny allowed the conspirators to use Ivory Coast as a base to coordinate their missions. Houphouët-Boigny also took part in the attempted coup against Mathieu Kérékou in Benin in 1977, and was suspected of involvement in the 1987 killing of Thomas Sankara in Burkina Faso. Houphouët-Boigny maintained his close relationship with Jacques Foccart, the chief architect of French covert operations in Africa under de Gaulle and Pompidou. So what you are seeing from Ivory Coast today is only a continuation of what Houphouet Started and being carried out by his political chosen “son”.
