Dodgers have been flat-out bad for a while now. Some injury issues.. but it’s mostly been really bad baseball. Padres are playing a much more serious and better brand of ball. Need to capitalize this week.

TOO HOT TO FLY: After flying in TV news helicopters for 20 years, I was surprised to learn THIS WEEK, that these modern marvels have severe limits when it comes to lifting off the ground in extreme temperatures. AIR7 is a Eurocopter AS-350B2, and like many helicopters in this category, it is restricted from generating enough lift to safely take off in surface temperatures of 120°+ (sea level). Therefore, ABC7’s fleet of helicopters based in Van Nuys, CA, were briefly grounded during this week’s heat wave. Today, our peak temperature reading on the tarmac exceeded 124°🌡️‼️

@abc7chriscristi Back in my flying days, it happened to us a few times. Curious do you keep chopper outside during day? We’d bring ours back into hangar on those 100+ days, both for flying purposes and our comfort. Jet Ranger=no A/C
