@Camp4 How do you do #3? Do they have access at all times or do you have times where you sit down and go over it?

Ayman is 1000% correct. It’s not a money issue, it’s a parenting issue. My wife and I are far from perfect parents, but one thing I feel very confident about is our kids’ relationship with money. Things we’ve done: 1. Modeled living below our means and not doing dumb things with money. Kids hear very little of what you say, but they see everything you do. 2. Helped them start small investment accounts so that they can experience it first hand. 3. Gave them full visibility into our finances (this is probably the most unusual thing we do) including how we make decisions. P.S. @aymanalabdul is a great follow.

Most parents wonder: "How much should I leave my kids?" That’s the wrong question. The real question: "What kind of person am I leaving the money to?" Money is a weapon. You wouldn't hand a sword to a toddler. So why hand massive wealth to kids with no discipline? You don’t give a black belt to a kid with white belt discipline. Educate your kids with money and the amount is infinite.

Church. I use to take notes on my phone at Church (notes app and Bible app) But then I would end up opening a social media app, email, text a friend etc Then I tried a Moleskin notebook and I felt like I had to take enough notes to fill the page and I often would look back at old notes About 6 months ago I went to carrying a real Bible and taking notes on an index card New card every week This has far and away been my best personal option to take notes and pay attention in church Highly recommend oh ya, then I index them at home - I think I learned this from Ryan Holiday

I learned a lot reading personal development but I do believe it has a diminishing rate of return. Into this journey of reading for pleasure for last 1.5 years has been a interesting journey of what books land in my hands.

I hate when people at work ask you what books you are reading for professional development. I am reading books to counteract the effects of being professionally developed. I am reading books that bring me back to being human.

Resale Curious? Small lots like this Costco auction are a great way to experiment and learn about reselling and auction buying. $6,200 bid to $600. Plus, you'll be a hero to 3 friends when you cut them deals on those Blackstone grills. It's the best time of year to sell outdoor furniture, grills, and BBQs. If you want to learn more, simply reply with the word Costco in the comments, and I will send you a link to the auction and additional resources. Be sure you are following me @ShannonJean so you see my DM. Cheers!

Ever get bloody nipples while in a race?! This was my solution 🫠🫠 ** also worth noting this photo was taken :15 before I crossed the finish line and immediately threw up in the bushes….I quickly learned never eat a whole banana right before a race

Just moved out of our first place in SF, and I'm already missing this wall. During @ycombinator, we used post-its on this wall to track our progress. Each note marked a completed task, with one simple goal - fill the entire wall. Watching it grow kept us motivated. This wall became more than just notes - it was our story on display. Every visitor - friends, customers, investors - could see our journey and dedication in one glance. In startups, tracking progress isn't about project management — it's about visually reminding yourself of every milestone achieved, keeping you motivated through the toughest days.

@amyellowcoe @lessin We have a onboarding process where we create a handbook of each company we are selling for and then our sales team can ask notebook questions while on the phone with a customer and sell for multiple companies at once
