Single facts can never be "proved" except by their coherence in a system. But, as all facts come singly, anyone who dismisses them one by one is destroying the conditions under which the conviction of new truth could arise in the mind. - F. C.S.Schiller

@MacticsG1 Please God no more rotations. I just want to be able to log in occasionally and have my build still work. Maybe allow swapping all the artifacts you earned over the years??

My #1 request for the final update of destiny is to put the artifact mods on an automated rotation that cycles through all old artifacts. Doing this would naturally refresh the meta and keep the game feeling a little more alive for those who decide to stick around a while.

A petition calling for Sony to greenlight Destiny 3 has hit over 170,000 signatures online “We believe in the potential of Destiny 3 to inspire new generations of gamers and to keep the fire of the Guardian spirit alive”

@SteveSTechMan @Dexerto Yup, Destiny's best content was in conjunction with other studios like High Moon and Vicarious Visions. Let someone else try.

Let’s be real. “Bungie” or what’s going to be left after they layoff a massive amount of employee, will NEVER be making D3. Period. No amount of signatures, which is great, will change this. To be honest, I personally would not WANT Bungie to make D3. It was the current devs that completely killed everything. The only way, and you are talking a Hail Mary from a thousand yards, would be for Sony to farm out the IP to another AAA studio (Thank God) and go through an evaluation of cost. IMO, the problem is that the plug was not pulled on D2 with millions of players online, it was pulled when there was a faction. Sony has the data, player count has been decreasing for years (key word). Why invest hundreds of millions in a game that has a few hundred thousand players? Financially a wrong move. It is all about ROI, and if that is not there, no amount of “signatures” is ever going to change that. At this point, it is not about the game, it is business.

@Chrangus_ I guess so. I disagree with your assessment. If Marathon does well I have no confidence that they would make a Destiny 3. Management had expressed that they hate working on Destiny. Sony does own the Destiny IP. If Marathon dies I could see them giving it to another studio.

Once you’re past 35, are you just going to keep being gradually more tired every year for the rest of your life or is a there a second wind somewhere? Anybody suddenly stumble upon newfound energy in their 40s? 50s? 60s, maybe with retirement? Naturally, no HRT or hacks

The amount of people voting no on this is wild! The asymmetry of this bet is so obscene that "no" is philosophically unserious unless a $1,000 loss genuinely destroys you.

Many people resonate deeply with Walter Russell’s periodic table and waveform cosmology. They are right to. Russell clearly intuited that periodicity is not fundamentally linear. He recognized that elemental organization behaves as wave traversal through alternating phases of charge, compression, expansion, inversion, and return. That intuition was profound. What he lacked was the formal recursive systems grammar needed to preserve the full continuity of the traversal coherently. And that distinction matters. In Russell’s mapping, the waveform partially collapses into mirrored octave reflections. The traversal folds into paired oppositions where the full recursive continuity is not yet preserved. In the recursive closure mapping, the waveform remains continuous. Not symbolic. Operational. A full nonave traversal: Carbon / Silicon family (93/39) — Carbon Group / Tetrels Recursive polarity crossing and respark threshold. Carbon and silicon close one traversal while simultaneously generating the substrate for the next. Nitrogen / Phosphorus family (69) — Pnictogens Exploratory scaffold. Directional expansion, informational structuring, recursive outward differentiation. Oxygen / Sulfur family (99) — Chalcogens Diffusive crest. Maximum outward distribution, oxidative propagation, systemic broadcast. Fluorine / Chlorine family (96) — Halogens Torque hinge. Aggressive closure-seeking and directional return toward equilibrium. Neon / Argon family (66) — Noble Gases Coherence anchor. Dynamic equilibrium and phase-lock stabilization. Sodium / Potassium family (36) — Alkali Metals Focused in-draw. Selective transfer, directional ionic work, controlled extraction from the field. Magnesium / Calcium family (33) — Alkaline Earth Metals Deep compression. Mineralization, grounding, structural containment, maximal inward density. Boron / Aluminum / Scandium / Yttrium / Lanthanum / Actinium family (63) — Recursive Integrators Gestation saturation. Framework mediation, alloy stabilization, substrate integration, recursive carrying-forward of the entire prior traversal into the next substrate layer. This final family is especially important because legacy chemistry never identified it coherently. These elements were distributed across unrelated conventional categories: Group 13, transition metals, lanthanides, actinides. Yet under recursive phase grammar they close immediately as a single functional family. That matters. Because it demonstrates that the grammar is not being imposed onto chemistry externally. It reveals coherent structure that was already operative but remained fragmented under the inherited projection. And this is precisely what people mean when they ask whether a framework produces new coherence or novel predictive power. It does. The recursive integrator family was hiding in plain sight. The standard periodic table remains enormously valuable and historically indispensable. Nothing is being discarded. Without chemistry, spectroscopy, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics, this deeper coherence would not even be visible. This is not replacing chemistry. It is integrating the fragmented projection into a more coherent systems-level articulation. And importantly: this is not speculative particle invention, not exotic metaphysics, not arbitrary reparameterization. No new particles are proposed. No empirical observations are discarded. No chemistry is abandoned. What changes is the organizational grammar through which the observations become intelligible together. 🔗 Phase Periodicity Paper zenodo.org/records/203149… (1/2)

Rock, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this because, frankly, it should've been your parents. While I'm certain they were just trying to protect you: it's not nice that they kept something like this hidden and allowed you to go through life unsure as to why you're "different" from the others. It needs to be said, Rock: You're retarded. With that out of the way, I feel compelled to inform you that it is possible to both 1. be critical of dodgy practices which plague video games, like power creep... and 2. be critical of dodgy practices which plague video games, like DEI. Anyways, don't worry because I plan to actually explain my position using argumentation, rather than just insulting you and trying to discredit what you're saying by undermining it. ← That's your wheelhouse. We prefer to say things that are backed by reason and logic. While I'm confident that you'll fittingly attempt to write this off as "too many words" or "me caring too much", I'm sorry but I feel it's important to support my arguments: DEI is a backwards, regressive practice that is tangibly hurting the gaming industry. It is also flagrantly racist: blindly assuming advantages and disadvantages on the basis of nothing more than a person's race, which is definitionally racial prejudice btw (racism)... but I digress. The problem with DEI is that it's antithetical to merit. Meritocracy and equity cannot exist simultaneously. Equity, in practice, is literally providing incentives for diversity, while providing disincentives for a lack of it. This all but forces employers to artificially inflate the number of "diverse" people working under them to meet unwritten quotas. As a result, the gaming industry is "cutting corners" and loosening their hiring standards in order to achieve these incentives. As a result, you're getting people who wouldn't know what a "good video game" looked like if it landed on their foreheads designing your products: people who are underqualified, out of touch, and simply not as skilled as the other guys. In the days of equality, we were strictly getting the absolute most qualified person for the job, *regardless* of traits like race/gender/sexual orientation. This is why video games were so fucking good and why the preferences of consumers were always the top priority of companies: the people working in the industry were gamers themselves and they knew what worked, and what mattered. Instead, we now have underqualified developers, not to mention time, budget and resources being spent on shit that frankly just doesn't fucking matter to the average player. Nobody gives three quarters of a fuck if a studio is "diverse" or not, so the fact that millions of dollars are being spent on this instead of the games themselves is fucking retarded. Nobody gives a fuck if a medium that is literally about fun and escapism is "inclusive," so the fact that millions of dollars are being spent on this is fucking retarded. Meanwhile, "sensitivity and inclusivity consultants" are now being hired who literally exist to scrutinize/politicize games... and their function is to suggest changes to things that could be deemed "offensive" or politically incorrect. As a result, you're getting games that are more watered down, sanitized, and soulless. This muddies the waters and makes fiction worse for literally everyone, even if some of you are too stupid to realize it. While no system is perfect, equality was the closest thing we ever had to a perfect system... and then "equity" (the E in DEI) came in like a freight train and took that away from us because identity obsessed progressive retards (you) were indoctrinated by political activists who desired to exploit tribalism for personal gain and votes. "but u can still have merit and diversify, that's the point of equity!" → The *point* of equity is irrelevant. What matters is what equity actually is/does, in practice. "but if 2 ppl are equally qualified, u just have 2 hire the more diverse one!" → This is also nonsense. It is incredibly rare to get two people of *identical* qualifications, experience, and intelligence. As a result, it is impossible to get perfect, 1:1 diversity in any scenario. Equity was literally designed to artificially increase diversity in the workforce, because hiring based purely on qualifications was skewing heavily in favor of *white male applicants.* That's it. That's the entire reason it exists. Progressives didn't like this and screamed "wacism," because they're retarded and don't understand things like demographics, and how/why a workplace in a country that is 68% white might have a lot more white employees than black ones... or how/why an industry that skews heavily male/is preferred by men would have more male employees than female ones. You're the tourist, Rock. We actually care about our hobbies and want to protect them from people like yourself. Sit down and shut up for once.
Math Rock@MathRockSucked

These types of takes show you who is a tourist. People will blame buzzwords like woke and DEI, but they'll never mention the portal, power creep, pvp sandboxes, old-gen support. If you get your gaming takes from SmashGPT running reddit threads through AI, re-evaluate your life.
